Dark Secret 2: VIOLET

Chapter 7

Violet reluctantly walk towards their meeting place. She's been pondering the whole night whether to take a gamble or not. She bit the inside of her cheek as she's anxiously getting near the place.

She pursed her lips. There's only one way to know the truth, that is to see whether he has a mark which is similar to hers.

"Hm, Where is he? Did I arrived too early," Wika niya ng makitang wala pa ang lalaki.

She tapped her foot on the ground while waiting, as she made her senses sharp and out her guard up just in case that this is a trap set by him.

"Hey," A voice suddenly spoke behind her.

Agad na tumalon palayo si Violet at hinugot ang kanyang baril, sabay tutok sa lalaki.

"Hey, it's me. It's me! Put that down," Mabilis na wika ng lalaki habang nakataas ang dalawang kamay nito.

Hindi agad ibinaba ni Violet ang kanyang baril bagkus ay pinasadahan muna niya ng tingin ang binata, bago niya tuluyang ibinaba ang kanyang baril.

"Haha. I was nervous, I thought I'm gonna die," He said playfully making Violet to glare at him.

"Stop saying nonsense, or else I would really put a bullet on your head this time."

"Your no fun kitty," He said while looking disappointed.

Tumikhim muna ang binata bago ito nagseryoso.

"So did you think about my offer?"

Ikinuyom muna ni Violet ang kanyang kamao bago siya nagsalita.

"Before that, I wanted to see something. The proof...that you're one of us," She said while gazing ferociously to the man.

The man smiled, but Violet is aware that his eyes isn't. His movement became stiff as he grab the hem of his shirt.

"I know you would say that."

The guy took of his shirt and face his back towards her. Violet moved closer to see the mark clearly. She unconsciously touch the burned skin and immediately retracted her fingers away, when she felt him flinch.

It's the same mark as hers. A snake which formed a circle while bitting its tail, with a trindent across it and three numbers written in roman numerals below the symbol. The only difference is the last two numbers itched on his skin.

"Y, you're number 047? That means we belong in the same batch," She said grimly.

"So, do you believe me know no. 049?"

Nanlaki ang kanyang mga mata ng bigkasin ng binata ang mga numerong nakatatak sa kanya.

"H-how?"

"As I thought, you don't remember me," He said with a subtle hint of disappoinment on his voice. "I hope you'll remember me in the near future, kitty."

"Tsk."

"So do you believe me now?" Muling tanong ng binata.

"Yes," Sang-ayon ni Violet. "I'll gladly join you."

"That's great!"

"So, what should I call you? I can't call you 047 right?" Taas kilay na wika niya.

"How could you forget about me?! I even told you my real name before I became 047!" Naghihimutok na wika niya.

"Bastard," Bulong ni Violet habang nakasimangot.

Then suddenly Violet felt a soft texture pressing on her lips. It was a very swift one that caught her off guard without being able to use her reflex.
