Chapter 17

I've seen a ton of hot guys before, but the guy ten feet from me is so fucking hot.

Meadow nudges me in the ribs.

"Psst!" she hisses. "I know I'm engaged but holy hell! Do you see how fucking sexy that candy is right there?"

I nod rapidly.

I left Louis with Luke because Luke begged me to. He said he would be fine, but I told him no. Meadow and Louis were there while we argued over it, and Luke said, "If you say yes we can have sex later."

I replied with, "We'll have sex later either way."

He dropped that because I knew I was right. Lois said he could take care of Luke, and then proceeded to pick Luke up and move him to the couch.

Luke begged so hard and kissed me multiple times before I finally gave in, but I made him promise he wouldn't leave the house.

Now Meadow and I stand at the mall in the food court in Atlanta. It's been raining all day.

The hot guy in front of us turns around.

I haven't seen his face. I've only seen the back of him.

Holy shit. Even his front is better.

I start to compare him to Luke.

Luke's eyes are cuter and easier to get lost in. I feel awkward looking at this guy.

He has jet black short hair. Luke's hair is brown and cuter. When he grows it out it gets flippy.

Luke's jaw is more defined, while with this guy, if he worked out his face a bit, he could have a better jaw.

I look away and he clears his throat.

"Hello ladies." He says.

"Hi." I say, speaking for the both of us, because Meadow pulls out her phone to make herself look busy.

"Are you single?" he asks.

"I'm engaged." I say.

"Aw, come on. Leave Luke for me."

I blink four times and then laugh. "Not in your wettest dream, my friend." I pat his shoulder.

He's attractive, sure, and I notice other guys, just like Luke notices other girls.

I still feel guilty and I always run to Luke after I see a hot guy and apologize. He doesn't really care. He said he trusts me not to cheat on him.

I would never cheat on Luke.

He pouts and then walks away.

Meadow puts her phone away.

"I think that horn hat only came over here to see if we were single." She gasps.

"We got in line after him." I point out.

"But he heard us discussing where to eat." she says. She pauses. "When did you tell him Luke's name?"

"What do you mean? I didn't."

"He said leave Luke for me." She says.

That guy did look sort of familiar...

We get back to the apartment at three fifteen on the dot.

It's dead silent.

My stomach clenches.

"Lucas Alexander Seaton!" I say loudly.

No answer.
