The last break up I had was your typical "final fight" situation where one of you has enough of your shitty, pointless arguments and calls it quits. She was a sweet girl. Flattering, beautiful, smart, but she was extremely toxic and all of our preservable memories were suddenly clouded by the noise of her voice, yelling at me.
We broke up six months ago.
All of these old memories of our breakup were racing through my mind as I walked the streets of London.
I got to work.
I made coffee. I cleaned. I served people. And I biked home. Exhausted.
I got home. Went to the bathroom. Changed into a big shirt.
And I called it a day.
THE NEXT DAY
I got to school on my bike the next morning. Obviously not thrilled to be there. I saw all the people I hated. Which was everyone so the standards were low. Very low. I got to my class and I sat.
In that class there was this girl. She sat in the back and you'd think that someone who sits in the back would be quiet, right? wrong. She expresses her opinion about everything and anything but I'm not going to lie to you, she's undeniably beautiful. All of the boys and girls swoon over her and I don't blame them but beauty didn't matter to me when it came to her. She was still extremely annoying to me. Nothing changed.
All day I was in and out of classes. Thankfully enough I didn't have work today. I went to dinner with a few of my track teammates after our classes. Afterwards, I got home and did the same thing as yesterday and the day before and the day before that one.
