I hate this. I hate not remembering. I remember everything except that night. I just don't remember who did this to me. I can't see her face. But now i'm awake. Kate walks into my room.
"Training time", she said.
So I stood up from my bed and followed her out. John decided to smoke a cigarette while I was training so I didn't try to kill him. We were in the back yard, and the sun was blaring. She decided to start with a story.
"We are all related. We are all changed from humans to Reevets by being attacked by a Reevet. Reevets can choose whether or not they change someone or not. If you want to change someone, you have to breath back into them after you inhale and destroy their breath. You can kill Reevets too, but if you do that, The Original will kill you. You kill other Reevets by exhaling poisoned human breath into them. You kill them, but you're paralyzed for twelve hours. It happened once before the original issued the death order for anyone who did it. After you're changed, you have to follow what the person who changed you says. You suffocate yourself if you don't. The original created us. the only way i have freedom is because the person who changed me commanded me to have free thought. Some people ask to be Reevets though. The only reason someone would want to be a Reevet is if they wanted to kill someone, or they wanted to live forever. People change other people for two reasons; to control people, or to stay with someone forever. There's your history lesson and the brain of it. You need to be careful of who you attack. If someone remembers that you attack them, they will get the police. You'll die against their guns. They have bullets that produce a gas that's poisonous to us. The bullets paralyze us for twenty four hours. That'a enough time for it to be midnight. You found out what it feels like at midnight. We absorb the moon light that originally comes from the sun. The light combined with the atmosphere is enough to kill us. Just watch yourself. And remember that feeding makes you stronger. I fed. That's how I was able to throw you through the wall."
"Why can't I remember who did this to me?"
"Just a side effect. You remember when the person who changed you tells you, or when you change someone."
"Ok".
This is a lot. I became immortal and so easily destroy-able at the same time. Then the only person who could actually help me walked in. She ran through the gate as the metal splintered and bent around her. She grabbed Kate by the head and threw her into the side of the house. Then she grabbed Kate's face and the girl's mouth split as her teeth grew and ripped her lips wide open. Her teeth latched onto Kate's mouth, and Kate's face turned blue. Kate flopped onto the ground, and the girl collapsed. As Kate collapsed, I felt my memories flood back. Kate changed me. John ran over and pulled his gun on the collapsed girl. I ran up and grabbed the gun. Then John punched my face. I told him that Kate changed me. Then he grabbed the gun out of my hand and he shot Kate in the lungs four times.
"Nobody blindly follows anyone in my house.
So we carried the random girl into the house. We put her in my room on the bed. Then we buried Kate in the back yard. We walked back in a few hours later and the girl woke up. Her name is Juliet. She told me how Kate changed her. Kate told her. Then she told me how Kate was trying to build an army. Kate was going to re-write history. She was going to kill The Original, then wipe out the human race. But The Original didn't believe Juliet. So she took matters into her own hands. She stopped a war, but The Original would hunt her if he found out. So we were going to run. John was human, so he couldn't go with us. I figured out that when you meet the woman you love of the same species, you know it. We ran to Colorado and into the mountains. We were in our house every night before 8. We got married. And we lived there for 20 years until The Original showed up.
