Corridor

          A lady was sitting along their school corridor thinking about her big problem in her new environment.

                   Tyra was a new transferee in Korean International School, after she knows about her Mom and Dad’s divorce plan in Los Angeles California; she decided to move together with her nanny Amy in Korea and there she continues her studies taking up fine arts. Yes, she was indeed a good artist and a painter as well but she gave up her career as a painter since when she decided to settle in Korea, but it seems like she is not fit to their society because she was an American who is still trying to adjust in her new world..

And one time in her classroom, while entering through the open door she was surprise that all her classmates bullied her by throwing her a crumpled paper  and so she decided to skip her class and ran away over her cruel classmates.

Shone was so irked about the traffic in the highways, he keep on looking on his wristwatch while driving his little scooter. He was in a hurry for school because he was almost 30 min. late and that his physics teacher warned him for his unpunctuality. And so he knew that he will be scolded again so he spend his remaining time to unwind into their school corridor and suddenly he saw a lady sitting while sobbing into her white freckle hands, she seems like crying.

          “Any problem? How can I help you?” the words that out from his mouth

The English woman looks up and standing slowly while trying to recognize the face of the man standing next to her.

      “Now what? Are you here to bully me again??” say’s she angrily

                      “Huh? I don’t understand”

Confuse yet still calm the guy manages to be still nice that makes the girl embarrass about her act.

                   “Sorry I thought you are one of my classmates..Now I have to go coz I’ll be late on my next subject”

The boy left with such unexplainable feeling..he was amazed by the beauty of the girl, her auburn hair that makes her more attractive and her perfect angelic face that is not common from a real American girl.

“Okay class good morning, now we have your new classmate in photography let me introduce her to you. Her name is Tyra Vough she was an American transferee from Stanford University…(everyone was amazed) You may take your seat now Tyra” said Miss Yu

Shone that time was full of surprise, knowing that the girl he had seen earlier is his classmate in photography. Tyra look at him and sited beside him.

“hi nice to see you again, I never thought that we were be classmate in this subject..but anyway this class will be much interesting as I’ve notice and hopefully I wish that everyone will be nice at me”

Shone just smirked and glance at her. They tend to be good friends and they started to be close from each other. Until one day Tyra receive a letter from her parents saying that she needs to be back at L.A. soon because the divorce was withdraw from the both side. Her mom and dad did settle everything about them, and that made Tyra so much happy…

“ At last! Mom and Dad realize the true essence of family”

But on the other hand she was also sad because she has to leave Korea and of course her friends specially Shone.

On the next morning..

“Hey Tyra how about dinner later? My treat and I have something to tell you to” said Shone.

“sure, me too I have something to tell you.. but first please teach me about our lesson in calculus. I really got a hard time analyzing this equation”

                          “ok which part?”

That very moment Shone wants to confess his feelings from Tyra looking on her lovely face he felt much happy and inspire. Tyra makes him had sleepless nights and beat his heart so fast so he decided to express and say his feelings on their upcoming dinner.

“So tell me what you want to tell me earlier?” ask Shone

“hmmm…Shone mom and dad already okay and they want me back to L.A as soon as possible so I have to leave Korea and you” she’s almost crying while saying this words.

Shone was surprise hearing that Tyra has to leave him, but his doubt was loose by his courage and feelings for her.

      “But what about me? How about my feelings for you? You know in your months of staying here you change me! Tyra I love you, you may not believe this but the first time I met you on the corridor and seated beside me on the classroom I felt love and I know it’s you I wanted for the rest of my life.”

Tyra was so shocked of what he said because the feeling is mutual she feels the same way too.

“I love you too, but please don’t let me choose between you and my family you know I waited so much for this to happened and now it comes true..I’ll promise that I’ll be back soon and if God really destine us for each other then I would be glad to be with you forever ..now I have to go”

For the second time Shone left behind but this time he wait not an hour, days, or months but years. After 5 years his feelings still remain for Tyra alone they don’t have any communication at all but that was not a hindrance to stop loving her and hoping that he will met him one day. Until such time Shone attended in their school reunion still motivated that he will meet Tyra their, but he was unfortunate more than disappointed he run through the corridor crying while slowly seated in the corner thinking that Tyra may forget her promised but…an unfamiliar voice speak next to him.  

“Any problem? How can I help you?”

This made Shone freeze in a moment looking up and seen the beautiful face of the one he wait for almost 5 years Tyra..

                          “I came as promised”

For once he became speechless and the only thing he do is to hug her tight as if not letting her go again…
