"This is my daughter, Maria Angel Raine Amora" I smiled as my father introduced me to the business man he was talking to.
"What a beautiful girl! Manang-mana sa ina, am I right Mrs. Amora?" my mom laughed when the mister said. After that they resumed talking about business. We are here at a fabulous party at ang mga nasa harap ko ngayon ay gustong maging kaibigan ni Dad para sa company namin. This is a boring party for a 17 years old girl like me but ano magagawa ko isa akong mabuting anak kaya nandito ako. As I listen to what they are talking, I fixed my 'as they described it' beautiful brown wavy hair at inayos ang aking upo.
"What do you think young lady?" napalingon ako sa isang business man na kausap ni papa. I was shocked ng tinawag nya ako pero di ko yun pinahalata.
"Well, for my opinion this new project will not just benefit the economy of our country but as you said kailangan ng mga bagong empleyado para sa project na ito dahil kukulangin ng man power, this will also help the unemployed people to have a work" I smiled on them and I can see in their eyes is amazement in what I have said. I excused myself to get refreshment.
"What an amazing young lady you have their Mr. Amora. We have a deal I'm willing to invest in this wonderful project of yours" Napangiti ako sa isip. This is why my parents want me to go with them every time they meet a 'friend' after that gossip about me.
Naglakad ako papunta sa mahabang lamesa upang kumuha ng ininumin and I as I walked on the way to the table I can hear whispers about me.
"I heard na her parents always have a deal pagkasama daw nila iyang anak nila. Tatanungin lang daw ito ng isang tanong tapos pag ngumiti ito sayo mah-hypnotize ka raw at you will make a deal on their company" one of the wife's of some businessman said.
"Talaga? My husband made a deal with them. He invested to one of the project of Mr. Amora's company and that project went well naman. Kaya I think there is no lost kapag nag-invest ka sa company nila" one of her friends replied.
"Of course, their company is one of the biggest here in the Philippines. It's so perfect na kahit isang scandal ay wala ang kompanya nila. Even their daughter is perfect, I heard na she can speak many languages and I also heard na lahat daw ay kaya niyang gaw-" hindi ko na narinig ang mga sinabi nila nang makarating ako sa lamesa kung nasaan ang mga inumin. I got myself an iced tea before I went back to our table. They are so many business man and woman in here.
"They will call you maya-maya, ayusin mo ang performance mo Maria wag mo kaming ipahiya" my mom whispered. I nodded at her. Katulad nga ng sinabi ni Mommy ay tinawag na ako ng emcee to give my performance. One of the host asked me before if I called perform for the party and my parents said yes.
"We would like to welcome Ms. Maria Angel Raine Amora" after that I start play the piano.
I closed my eyes as I feel every piano key in my fingertips. Malakas ang naging palakpakan, I bowed before I exit and walked to our table. I know what they are thinking. They are thinking that marami na naman ang inggit at humahanga sa pamilya namin dahil sa pinakita ko.
