The big game

Addi's POV
(In the huddle)
"Alright girls, we have to win this game. And if we don't, well...our season is over. so we need to go out there play our hardest and kick some Farmington butt. ready rebels on three. one. two. three. REBELS!!"
As our starters ran out there (me, Jessica, Sophia, Emma, and shalea) we got a layup on the tip. After we scored we pressed on got the ball back a couple times after that. Before our coach told us to go back and not press anymore the score was already 8-0 us. They scored a basket off of a foul that was called on me number twenty-three. The girl made one free-throw. The score was now 8-1. They had a sub come in for number three. I had shot a three and made it like always. I had noticed that they were playing zone and it was really easy to shoot threes when then other team plays zone and not man. The other team called a timeout so we went over to our bench and coach said we were doing good and don't stop what you are doing. As we went out there it was their ball so we were playing defense. they ran the play and the post got it and made it. I threw the ball in and ran down the court. Jess passed it to me, I passed it to Sophia and she passed back out to me and I had shot another three. There was a sub in for our team, it was Chloe she came in for shalea. Farmington got the ball and and freaking air balls a three, I caught it and I saw there was ten seconds left so I dribbled down the court really fast, gave it to Sophia and shot a buzzer beater.
Second quarter: to start off the second quarter the score was 12-3 us. They got the ball and we literally took the ball out of her hands and scored a layup. We started pressing and they couldn't handle the ball so I took it l, scored a layup once agian. by halftime the score was 28-9 us.
Third quarter:
I started the second quarter with Jess, sophia, shalea, and a new girl named Baylee. She was okay. We got the ball because with 30.4 seconds left they got the jump ball in the second quarter. so shalea passed it into Jess and she dribbles it down the court she gives it to me and I throw it to Emma she gives it back to Jess, she shot fakes and gives it to Sophia, Sophia turns around to shoot it and BAM! out of nowhere number fourteen comes running after her and they get their ankles caught up and they fall down. Sophia comes down to the floor, hits her head pretty hard and won't wake up, this is not a good sign. Everyone on the team goes out onto the court and tries to help her, but nothing happens. Finally, cosh calls 9-1-1 and an ambulance comes racing towards school and is here in three minutes. Once they are in they take a look at her and take her to the emergency room for medical treatment, the game is still in but we take a while to get back on the court but eventually we do. When we get back on there are six minutes left. Another girl named kaitlyne comes in for Sophia and plays baseline and shalea plays post. We got the ball back and run an inbounds play and score a three of of it. after a while Chloe came in for shalea and plays post. They stole the ball acouple times and creep in closer. the fourth quarter is underway.
Fourth quarter:
They are now 10 points behind us. We are not doing so good with out Sophia. They start off with the ball and they made the 2 pointer. We got it and I hear coah call a timeout. she just wanted to tell us that we will be playing zone now. we went back out and they score 8 more points and we score 0 it's tied with 10 seconds left, I have the ball waiting for the time to come to shoot the three, 4 seconds I shoot the buzzer goes off and I miss. I could hear the crowd gasping.
OT:
We jump, they get the ball, they run their play and make the basket. We get the ball back, hold it for a minute and I shoot the three. 19 seconds left. we are up by one, they shoot we fouled. well the girl only makes one the game is tied with 3 seconds left, no time to shoot.
Double OT:
Once again, we have to tip again and this time we get it we were trying to hold it but when I passed it to shalea they stole it. Jessie ran down as fast as she could and hit it out of bounds. They ran their play and they made a basket. Now 1 minute left. Jess dribbles down the court, we were down by 2 I knew I could shoot it so with ten seconds left I shot it and I got fouled and made both of my free throws. 1 second left. Nope, no shot.
Triple OT:
The tip. jump ball with kaley and number twenty four. She is pretty tall compared to twenty four so we get it and shoot the layup. We are up two. They have the ball and run their play but don't get the basket. I look up at the clock and there is one minute and seventeen seconds. Jessica gives the ball to Emma and Emma gives it back. This time Jess goes it to shalea and she dishes it out to me, I shoot the three and make it. The crowd is on their feet. Twenty one seconds left. This is it, we won there is no way they can shoot a three. But they do. And they miss it. That's it we won two seconds left and we hold the ball. We won everyone was screaming. I could see Sandy pulling Aubree to go to the locker room. The only person I didn't see in the crowd was my mom . Where could she be. When we got into the locker room I called her. No answer. I was worried. I called her one more time and this time she answered me.
Mom: hello
Me: hey, why weren't you at my game?
Mom: well, I had to stay at school a little late because, well, we had some difficulties.
Me: well can we talk about it when we get home?
Mom: no! I mean, no. We can't. I will we you when you get home.
Me: wait! Are you coming to pick me up?
Mom: oh Ya. umm... I will be there in five minutes.
Me: ok bye.
I heard coach say that we did good and that we will be playing in sectionals next Friday.
We huddled in and broke out as a team and we all went home. My mom was there waiting outside in the car. She asked me how everything went and I had a lot to tell, we got home before I even finished. The last part I. Told her was that I had made the game winning shot kind of, well it was the last shot with six seconds left, so it kind of was. I didn't get to tell her when I play because I got a call from Sandy and I couldn't understand anything she was saying, se was going so fast, I did hear things happening in the background. What was happening?
