Dragon Diaries- Book 1

Part 5: Ellie

A/N: Yes I am doing Authors Notes now. Sorry, this part is kinda short... So that's all I gotta say bai.

The Rainforest was warm today. Which sadly meant more dragons were searching for me. I was almost caught by a dragonet, but they just thought that I was helping them look for me.
"Coconut." I whispered, "You need to keep Fluff quiet. I'm going to go get food." Coconut nodded and picked up Fluff. I snuck into a berry bush and began plucking berries. Then I heard heavy footsteps. Someone grabbed my scruff. It was Queen Glory.
"I FOUND HER... I think..." She said, putting me down but keeping a tight grip on my talon. Mother ran over.
"WHERE IS COCONUT???" Mother yelled in my face. Queen Glory stood in front of me. Almost like she was protecting me.
"Who is Coconut?" She demanded. Mother tried to reach for me. "Who is Coconut!?" Glory was starting to yell. Mother kind of shrank.
"M-my 1-year-old dragonet..." She muttered. Queen Glory turned towards me.
"Well," She said, "Where is she?" I sighed and pointed towards the place me and Coconut had been camping out. Coconut poked her head around the tree trunk.

"MY PRECIOUS BABY!!" Mother yelled while she ran towards her. Coconut flinched and ran over to me.
"That's concerning..." Someone in the search party muttered.
"Yes indeed." Queen Glory said, turning to stare at Mother. "Why do you think that happened, Mango?" Mother gulped and tried to grab Coconut.
"Answer my question!!" Queen Glory picked up Coconut and put her on her back. She pulled me towards her with her wing.
"W-well I treat her like my g-g-golden child..." Mother muttered, "A-and Ellie was a mistake." Queen Glory's scales turned blood red.

"No Rainwing, nor Nightwing is a mistake." she spat out the word mistake like poison. Mother started to slowly move away.
"GUARDS!!" Queen Glory yelled, "SEIZE HER!!" The guards grabbed Mother's arms and began to drag her towards the new dungeon (Queen Glory had to build a dungeon because some of the Nightwings were setting nests on fire, and she needed a place to keep Mastermind somewhere other than quicksand.) Mother began screaming.
"THIS WON'T BE THE LAST YOU'LL SEE OF ME!!" She screamed, sounding like a maniac, "I WILL ESCAPE AND KILL YOU ALL IN YOUR SLEEP! AND I'LL TAKE MY PRECIOUS COCONUT TO A FARAWAY LAND!!! YOU'LL SEE!!!!" This was going to take some serious therapy to get over.
"Dear diary. Mother has officially gone crazy. I heard that something about being locked up broke something in the Rainwings. Maybe the fact that there are only 20 minutes of sun time. Or the fact that you were locked up in a small room. Not going to lie I would probably starve myself. Though I've heard the food comes from the royal fruit garden... Well, I probably won't be going in there, but we will see."

(The Next Day...)Coconut was sleeping under my wing holding Fluff like a toy. When I opened my eyes, I saw that Queen Glory was sleeping with her wing on top of me. I sat up."Good morning." Queen Glory said sleepily "Good morning Queen Glory." I said nervously. Queen Glory smiled."You can call me Glory." She said kindly "The whole Queen title really bugs me not gonna lie." She stretched her wings and got up. She put a blanket over Coconut and helped me up."Let's go for a walk."
