Where to now?

A wolf padded across the forest the moon shined down on the path lighting it up they paused as they caught a scent of wolf no..that can't be right can it? They then gave the air another sniff before noticing it's closer and more fresh they jumped back after seeing two wolves they panicked their eyes widening with alarm as they stared at the wolves their paws felt like they became frozen to the ground. The wolf rushed up to them "Hey! Look another wolf!" the other wolf said with a exicted tone as the wolf beside them looked them up and down "hey! Who are you?" the wolf questioned a warm look in their eyes "i-im purpelt" purpelt anwsered their voice quivering "don't be scared! I'm quiv.." quiv said "and this my friend is Feeze" quiv added on before flashing a smile. Feeze then spotted a rabbit that was nibbling on grass feeze stalked it and then pounced the rabbit squealed and tried to run but feeze sunk their teeth into the rabbit it gave a few kicks of it's hind legs before going limp "Rabbit anyone?" Feeze questions "Oh me!" Purpelt replied their mouth watering from the warm scent of rabbit "count me in!" Quiv added. They all took their share of rabbit taking clean and neat bites "This is delicious good catch!" Purpelt said muffled by the rabbit in the mouth they each finished the rabbit it was getting to be dark quick "We need shelter there might be some cave nearby.." Quiv suggested "Ew! What's that smell" Freeze wrinkled their nose in disgust "Let's find out!" Purpelt padded towards the smell "Are you seriously-...fine.." Feeze followed and soon Quiv joined. A cave was where the smell led to Quiv pointed with their tail to the cave and stepped towards to it making their paw steps as gentle and quiet as a mouse "OH STARS!" Quiv Yowled backing out the cave a horrified look plastered on their face "What is it quiv?" Feeze questioned their paws tingling with apprehension "Yeah Quiv?" Purpelt questioned panic throbbed in them. "LOOK!" Quiv shouted a kit layed there dead it's ribs jutting out it's pelt there was leaves nearby them with bite marks all over them as it attempted to eat them to fight it's starvation Purpelt's eyes softened with pity "poor kit..." Purpelt murmured "We should give it a proper burial to accept it into the ones who walk among the stars." Feeze suggests "i agree.." Quiv said with a nod of her head they grab the Kit's scruff the kit was light their fur soaked with the taste of death it took everything to not recoil from the taste as they carried it to a spot dropping it's cold and limp body in the ground. "Purpelt, start digging!" Feeze instructed Purpelt scraped at the ground with their claws and Quiv joined in "okay it's ready I'm sure" Feeze dismissed them and then picked the kit up by their scruff and dropped them into the hole and they buried them Feeze dipped their head in respect and they mourned the death of the kit "let this kit walk among the stars in peace let them play and have infinite hunting" Purpelt said "let's go to sleep now in this cave now as we have done what we had to do" Quiv instructed as they padded into the cave Purpelt found a corner and curled up letting sleep take over them.
