Asbjørn Køhler was your average thirteen year old. He had two older siblings, Ingebjørg and Keld, and he loved video games. He wasn't very independent (or good at math), but he was determined to be who he wanted to be, regardless of what that meant.

His father, Mattias, called him and his siblings "little boy," even though Ingebjørg was a girl. Mattias was kind of thick, so he didn't see how much this affected his youngest son.

"Far?" He said one day as Mattias made lunch.

"What is it, Little Boy?" Mattias replied with a smile.

"Could you stop calling me that? I'm . . ." Asbjørn trailed off as a lump rose in his throat.

Mattias stared as Asbjørn, furrowing his brow. "You're what?"

"I'm a girl." Asbjørn blurted out. "I'm a girl, and I want to be called Asløg."

Mattias blinked. "Alright."

Asløg smiled. "Thank you, Far."

"No problem, Little Girl."

Side note: Far means Dad in Danish. And I'm not too great at writing Denmark. Just a little oneshot that took forever to start but like ten minutes to write. So yeah. I hoped you liked it.
