Chapter 9|In the Life of Mamiko

3rd POV~

Y/n and Umetaro were casually cooking dinner when they heard Umetaro's phone ringing

Umetaro answered the call to hear Ken-san's voice, while Y/n didn't pay them much attention until she heard the editor scold her brother

"I'm directing this at you!" Ken yelled through the phone

The girl then started to get weirded out by her brother saying that Suzuki would be his type if he was a girl

"What on earth are you talking about?" she asked not knowing if she had to be concerned for him

"So Ken-san asked you to include more emotions in your characters"

"Yeah, I think he meant, if i were in the manga as Mamiko, how would i feel?"

The twins then started to read through the manga to see the romantic scenes between Mamiko and Suzuki

"Those two only think about love" Y/n commented "and don't study at all"

Y/n's POV~

So... nii-chan insisted on making lunch today, he even made six extras for other people

He also asked me to call him Mamiko, he has some weird ideas...

Welp, at least I did't have to worry about making lunch today

Although onii-chan's idea had me thinking... when a girl tries to show affection to someone, a way to do it is to make lunch for them?

"Mikoshiba" I heard nii-chan call out to someone in my class "If you haven't had lunch yet, would you like this?"

"Huh? What's this for?" Mikoshiba-kun asked

"I made too much lunch. Have some" he said as he did a cutesy punch to his own head

Mikoshiba-kun seemed sceptical about eating lunch made by another guy but when he tasted it, his face lit up at how delicious it was

I guess my cooking advise helped

"Really?! Y/n's cooking advise really helped then" onii-chan commented

Did he read my mind or something?

I didn't get to completely process my thoughts, when I noticed Mikoshiba-kun was glancing at me

After like three seconds of just looking at each other we both turned to onii-chan but he was already gone

"Your cooking's really good" I heard him complement me

"But I didn't make that"

"I know, but you've cooked for me and Sakura before and Nozaki learned from you, right?"

"Ah, right... thanks" I don't usually get complements like this

"Also, I was wondering... " he trailed off

"Hm?"

"W-well I know how you usually make lunch for Nozaki s-so I thought maybe y-you could... um" he stuttered as he rubbed the back of his neck

"Do you want me to make you lunch tomorrow?" my question seemed to catch him off guard

"E-eh?! W-well if you would't mind-"

"I wouldn't" I said as laid my arms and head on my desk to take a nap "I'll bring you a bento tomorrow"

"O-oh, thanks"
