"How deep are the Archives anyway?"

The Overseer shook their head in what seemed to be frustrated confusion. "My curiosity asks the same. I assure you, if I knew the answer, I would tell you. However, the Archives were made to record countless worlds in motion, some even outside of the Diamond child's "area of expertise", for a lack of a better term. As far as I know, the Archives does not stop growing and expanding. I believe it is safe to say that it is quite literally endless."

"When were the Archives created? And are you the only..."Overseer" here? Are there more like you, or are you the only guardian here?"

The Overseer quickly straightened their posture, an amused hum being heard through their mask.

"Why, aren't you a talkative one, Watcher? Well, in order..." 

"I am...uncertain of the exact date when the Archives were created. I am only aware that, by the same I was created, the Archives I was assigned to had already expanded to an incredible level. Thousands of worlds and billions of alternatives for even general moments had already been created and documented. As far as I know, the Archives may have existed since the very beginning. However...time works differently within the Archives. Time flows and stops seemingly on a whim here. What may be centuries here may not be any more than a few years in your time."

"As for the second..." They paused for a moment, scanning their surroundings before they motioned you to lean in closer, their voice lowering to a hushed whisper. "Overseers, or those that resemble Overseers - our "kind", for lack of a better term, are often referred to with a number of different names by our creators - can be...numerous. There is no limit to how many of us can be..."bound" to one of the creators, and while a majority of them deal with their worlds themselves, the ones that don't tend to have multiple of us. The Diamond child, for example, does have a second Overseer in place, however That One is currently occupied with...other matters. For now, though, you need not worry about Them, Watcher."

 "It is...for the best that you do not meet them after all."

Darkness. Faces howling in an eternal yet silent scream, pulsing in the dark as if attempting to reach out and drag something back in with them. Someone was there, concealed with a dark red robe. They wore a full face mask, this one a cloudly white with red markings that circled around the eyes and ran down the sides of the wearer's head. Small lines were etched into the mask on opposite sides of the mask, forming a nearly unnoticable pseudo-mouth that was covered by the markings. Amber eyes glowed ominiously with the faces, a soft voice barely being heard even in the silence, hushed and warning.

"Yes...it is for the best..." The Overseer trailed off in thought, remaining silent for some time. Not enjoying the silent awkwardness that arose, your hand reached out and touched their robe in an effort to regain their attention, feeling a strange wet coolness that didn't fit with what should be dry cloth before the Overseer returned from their thoughts, your hand drawing away as they flinched.

"Ah, my apologies...I've forgotten where I was for a moment. Is there anything else you are curious about?"

"You are certain?"

"...it seems we underestimated the Watchers. The wiser ones will no doubt attempt to piece the puzzle together. I suppose there's no point keeping you hidden, is there brother?"

฿Ʉ₮ Ⱨł₴ ₩ł₴ⱧɆ₴-!

"Mean nothing if you are already discovered. Calm yourself brother. While this was unplanned, it disturbs nothing."

"...shall I introduce you to them?"

₦Ø. ł ₩łⱠⱠ ₳₱₱ⱤØ₳₵Ⱨ ₮ⱧɆ₥...₳₦Ø₮ⱧɆⱤ ₮ł₥Ɇ.

"...if that is what you wish. Be safe, brother."
