I learned to never say never when my never became my forever.
Heavily clothed in immeasurable standards and expectations was me.
Lips lined with I'll never be's and I never will's.
As arrogant as a peacock and as ignorant as a child, I paraded my innocence.
An innocence green and glistening like an Emerald, which attracted the highest bidders.
Going once, going twice and Sold!
This was the fate of my innocence, sold to the bidder that had given everything he had, which at the time seemed like a lot.
What I held so dear to me was of great insignificance in the eyes of a bargain hunter.
After capturing my treasure it was on to the next bid war. What I never would be or do is who I am.
I am Woman! Ethereal, resilient and beautifully flawed.
