bits of salt flakes, sticking to the skin of his foot. he looks down at the floor, remembering he didn't sweep it throughly. little specs of salt, little specs of memories, still on the floor, staying until forgotten.
"Remember when you spilt salt on the floor..and i scolded you for it?" he mumbled, loud enough for the other figure in the corner of the room to hear.
"Of course. You are a superstitious person. You thought I would have bad luck my whole life." the figure chuckled.Adam looked up, and smiled. The weight lifting off his shoulders, his whole body feeling light.
Eyes became teary, and his body starts to become overwhelmed. Like guilt filling up his body, one vein by one. His chest feeling heavy, he let out a shaky sigh."It was funny. Hilarious even, I missed those times. Don't you?" Mick's eyes, filled with innocence. Shadowed with joy, it's like his eyes shine through his dark circles under them.
"Mhm. Yes i..i do. Very, very much." he sniffled. Walking towards Mick, his head glued to the ground.
"It everything okay Adam?" He reached over, caressing his cheek. Lifting his head to meet with his eyes, "I am so sorry Mick." Adam whimpers, voice shaky as his tears come and go."Why are you sorry? You haven't done anything wrong..did you?" Mick furrowed his brow.
"Mick..you sweet thing." Adam cuffed his cheeks, while Mick slowly let go of his."What's wrong?", putting his hands above Adam's, as he looked deeply into those sad eyes.
"I can't do this anymore."
"Why not?"He stayed in silence, leaving the guy infront of him in suspense.
"Why not Adam? Did I do something wrong..?"
"No no no- you didn't." He whispered as he pressed his forehead against his."You're just.."
"Just what Adam?"
"Im so sorry."
"I'm what Adam..please, tell me."
"Please." Mick begs, kissing Adam's thumbs.
"You won't like it Mick.."
"Communication is key isn't it?"
"Yes it is Mick..but i dont think it's the key to open the lock right now."
his voice became more quiet, making Mick very concerned.
"Adam..it's okay. Tell me." He smiled, weakly. Adam cannot bear it, that smile is sad but let him know that he is okay when he sees him.
"Mick.."
"Yes, Adam?"
"Y-you're..um." Choking down his tears.
"It's okay, I'll be patient." Wiping away the tears that were still rolling.
"You always are."
"I know." he again smiles. This time, the smile grew bigger.
"Mick. I love you remember that."
"You're stalling." He laughs.
"I know. I do that alot dont I-?"
"Dont change the subject, please." Mick tilting his head like a lost puppy. Kissing Adam's palm of his hand.
"Mick..""Mick, you're dead."
He says, as Mick slipped through his fingers.Turning into salt.
Adam gripping onto the remains, as they flow out of the open window.Opening his eyes, lifting his head up to see what is infront of him..
A headstone, for Mick.
