It was a cold winter night. Wind was blowing and the streets were empty. No sound, except the sound of my footsteps. I was running...running from..everything! My life was filled with bad luck and mean people. I was depressed. You never actually understand the true meaning of it until you capture the fatal disease yourself. It's like an incurable disease. You can't do much to stop it yourself. It doesn't stay at an equilibrium, it comes in waves. Once I started getting older and seeing it around me, I never thought I'd be the one to get it. I was sad but people never bothered. It's crazy how people seem to leave you when you need them the most. It started to get pretty difficult to live and not very soon I accidentally got into bad company and became a chain smoker. First it was just a metaphor but soon I let it burn, I allowed it to do its killing slowly slowly each day. My life was a disappointment and my depression din't help with it. Before I could realize I had stopped running. They were getting closer, my troubles. I was just about to fall when suddenly, I felt warm arms slither around my waist. When I turned around, I saw Lucas. I couldn't help but hug him. It felt so good when he was around. I felt safe. I felt loved. He has always been there for me. If there was anything good in my life it was him. He was the one who could make me smile even in the baddest of times. I had known him for two years now. This is how we met.
