After coming back to your hometown since you got kicked out of your dorm for partying, you decided why not just get your own apartment.

You wake up hearing/feeling the growl in your stomach, gripping your stomach, slowly rolled yourself out of bed, Throwing the leftover comforter onto your bed. "Screw it, ill just do it later," you said grabbing an oversized shirt, throwing on some shorts and socks. Feeling the beaming sunlight against your glowy skin. Dragging your feet against the hardwood as you walked through the hallway, entering the kitchen. Looking through your fridge seeing only some milk and some leftovers from a few nights ago. You couldn't remember the last time you went to the market. "Well guess I got to meet the neighbors some time or later." You thought-feeling your gut twist at the thought.

Grabbing a glass bowl from a cabinet, grabbing a red cereal box from the counter, pouring some Fruity pebbles into the bowl. Overhearing a conversation outside, looking through the peek hole quickly jolting back against the door, There was Steve, your neighbor in a towel, eating an apple while having a convo. "Fuck why is he so cute!" you whispered unlocked your deadbolt and taking a deep breath before opening the door, seeing him shift his body instantly at the sight of your door opening. "Hey, Y/n How's it going?" he said with a smirk smeared on his face. Leaning his muscular body against the door frame as his neighbor walked away. "Pretty good actually just got all my stuff moved in finally, Oh yeah! Do you have any milk? (Whatever kind you prefer), I honestly haven't got a chance to stop at the market since I got here." You said while fidgeting with the bottom of your t-shirt trying to avoid eye contact. "Hey y/n that's completely normal, I remember when I first moved here, fuck was it chaotic, I don't think I had all my stuff here for at least 2 months," he explained noticing your shyness.

"I honestly don't have any milk, not really my thing but hey how about you let me take you out to breakfast, I know a great little cafe that has the best donuts." He said fixing his towel as he felt it almost fall to his knees. Both of you began laughing, breaking the awkward silence, you finally agreed. "Um, shouldn't you get dressed before we go?" you said pointing to his towel and giggling. As the realization hit him his face flushed with red. "Shut up, let me go get ready but Ill knock on your door in 5 minutes." He said closing the door noticing the towel stuck in the door slit. You laughed under your breath, as you realized that you had 5 minutes to get ready you hurried into your apartment, flinging clothes everywhere trying to find something to wear. Hearing a light knock on your front door, quickly throwing on a little flower dress over your t-shirt with some doc martens and throwing your purse over your shoulder as you heard the second pair of knocks. Nearly falling right in front of the door in the process, as you felt the wind blast through your hair as you opened the door his jaws dropped. "Ready?" He said with a smile as he held his hand out to you.

The fit:

As you both entered the cafe you were instantly amazed by all the beautiful art that was all over the building and the amazing smell that you will always remember it wasn't something you were used to. "Wow." You said only being to form those words as you continued to look around while he waited to order, smiling at how you loved it as he did. "shit sorry am I taking forever?" You said walking back to him and standing beside him. As the customer in front of you walked off with their order he placed his hand on your back, "Ladies first." he said while stepping out of your way. You both laughed, "Thanks Steve, really I didn't want to get out of bed this morning since I have been trying to deal with all these changes." You explained feeling your voice crack as tears filled your eyesight.

As you both waited for your orders he stepped closer, sensing the tension fill your body, as it grows he whispers beside you.

"Hey, if we're being honest here I've been trying to get the courage to ask you on a date for a bit now, I remember seeing you move some stuff in and I was just like "Wow," he said, noticing your cheeks turn red, after a few moments of staring he finally noticed/grabbed both of your orders, showing you his favorite spot to eat at. Pulling one of the chairs open for you. "So y/n why did you move here?" He asked pushing your chair in and seating himself. "Thank you, Actually I got kicked out of my dorm so I just got an apartment here. My hometown is the next town over so when I enrolled in (Dream College)It was all pretty new for me, oh also I moved here to major in (Your dream major)."

You both talked on and on for hours, "Yo, we're closing, so you guys gotta get out of here." A Waiter said while grabbing the check presenter. You both laughed as he walked away not even realizing how long you guys had talked. While layering the plates/ shot glasses he slipped a piece of paper into your purse. "Y/n ready to go?" You said checking your watch, 10:45 pm.

As you both entered the elevator in your building, without warning steve pressed you against the elevator wall, gazing into your glowing eyes. "god y/n you're so beautiful." giggling at his drunken comment. Feeling an urge at the moment you stood on your tippy-toes, pressing your nose on his. You caressed his cheek feeling the warmth against your palm. He gripped your hand on his cheek, deepening his gaze. Both of you leaning into each other, moving before he could press his lips to yours he placed a gentle kiss on your forehead. "Not tonight princess," He said while pulling you in for a hug. Though you didn't expect that to happen you still appreciated that he wanted to take his time with you rather than just rush things.
