The smell of alcohol stung in your nose, your glass almost empty as you sat at the bar, wearing your nicest dress and lipstick tinting your lips in a shade of rosy pink. He had choosen this bar, and now here you were, waiting for your date to arrive for more than half an hour now. You knew that he wouldn't come at this point, knew that you had been stood up and that there was no point in staying, in ordering another drink, but here you were, one glass of beer finished and a new one already sitting infront of you.
Where did you go wrong this time? Why in the world are men like this?

The smell of smoke filled your nostrils while the loud laughter and cheers of the other guests watching some soccer game made you want to cover your ears. You would have never choosen such a place for a first date, or any date in fact. This place was too loud for you and had too many drunk men that could quickly turn into a danger.
But you pushed those feelings aside, shifting on the bar stool and picking up the new, full glass of beer, lifting it up to your lips and taking a big sip.
You should've left by now, but there was this little voice in your head that told you 'maybe hes just very late, got stuck in a traffic jam and will arrive soon, you can't just leave now'.
A sigh escaped your lips before you took another sip of the beer that tasted cheap and like the worst one you ever had.
You rested your head in your palm, staring up at the TV screen. The soccer match had ended now and instead there were now sports news being shown.
Your lips formed a little smile upon seeing your soccer team on the news, they were talking about how you had won the nationals.
After that they talked about the MSBY Black Jackals, your favorite volleyball team. They had a game against the Adlers today that you had missed to get ready for your date, you pursed your lips at the thought of having missed this game just for your date to not even showin up.

"Hey, this seat taken?"
You heard a male ask and turned to look at him, your face immidietly showing surprise upon seeing who it was.

"Miya san?!"
You exclaimed, recognizing the professional volleyball player.
How could you not recognize him, he was on your favorite team and someone you even called your favorite player, the two of you had even been on some shows and interviews together.

"Oh hey (L/N)...what are ya doin here...all alone..."
Atsumu asked, his gaze drifting from your eyes and face that was covered in makeup, to your beautiful dress, to the empty and half empty glass infront of you.

"I...had a date..."
You muttered and the blond male sat down next to you, ordering a beer and looking at you with that smirk he almost always had plastered on his face.

"And where is your...date? Did it go that badly they just left?"
He asked, his accent as thick as the alcohol coating your throat.

"Nah, he never showed up...been waiting for like 40 minutes now...he didn't even bother to send me a message that he wouldn't come."
You replied, staring into the yellow liquid before taking another big sip, finishing your second glass of beer.

Atsumus face showed surprise and he lifted his brows, looking a bit confused.
"Who in their right mind would miss a date with THE (Y/N) (L/N)?!"
He exclaimed and then took a sip of the beer he had ordered.

You shook your shoulders.
"Apparently someone...such a pitty, he seemed nice."

"Where did ya even meet him?"
The setter asked, now being weirdly curious.
