Everyone was still sleeping when I got up the next morning including Claire who I kissed then left the room going to the library but stopped and looked at the confinement door I opened it walked inside Ace was sitting on the floor with his right leg up and his arm resting on it "you have to understand why did what I did captain." He says without even looking at me "I would if you tell me what possessed you to kill the Duncan clan leader." He met my eyes his were still red for more blood "Ashton Duncan was my brother we were both made by the same vampire west Jackson he released us both at the same time Duncan started a clan immediately and wanted me to join I refused he let me go a hundred years later he returns with the same offer again I refused this time he didn't like no so his clan tried to kill me but I am much stronger and faster than he was this is why he wanted me and when he lost he vowed something to me that I will never forget." I tilt my head to the side "Ace what did he threaten you with?." He smirks an evil smirk saying "he vowed to kill my mate when I find her but that will never happen now." His smirk gets bigger "I ripped his head right off his shoulders ripping out his heart watching as he turns to dust eating his cold dead heart then sluttered ten of his clan members." "Your insane Ace." He chuckles stares into my eyes "maybe I am but that will not stop me from claiming her." He was talking about my daughter who isn't even here yet "tell me her name." He demands "why should I tell you?." He tilts his head to the side "Alec you in here?." Ace got that crazy hunger in his eyes in a flash his face was pressed up against the bars the moment Claire came in the room my blade under his chin "you shouldn't be in here baby." Ace reached for her but I wouldn't let that happen "come on just a quick image I won't harm her." "You almost killed her last night what makes you think that I'll let you anywhere near my mate just like you I have a duty to protect the one I love." Claire glances at me "what does he want?." "Images of our daughter." "I'll give them to him." "No, stay away from Ace for now let him suffer til I say so." She gently sets her hand on my shoulder I refused to look away from Ace "Alec-." "It's time to go love." Very slowly I backed her out of the room watching Ace closely he met my eyes "I will NOT be silenced." He growls out Claire ran by me Ace smirks "show her to me." "Claire don't." "But he's in pain weren't you in pain when I was killed?." "Baby that was different we had a life a child soon to be born Ace doesn't have that feeling yet he will never know the pain I lived through all those years ago." She glances at me "maybe but if he's willing to kill for our daughter now without her here then I say he deserves to see images of Kora." Ace growls at the mentioning of my daughter's name "if you were him right now what would you have done would kill for me even if I wasn't around yet or would you wait and face off the danger the moment I entered the earth's atmosphere?." I growled "I would kill for you with or without your presence." She smiles at me "then grant Ace this one request." Grumbling I pulled my sword out holding it to his throat "you try anything I'll kill you." Claire kissed my cheek then reached her hand between the bars Ace slightly smirks I pressed my blade to his throat "I'm warning you Ace don't be stupid." His red eyes met mine Claire gently sets her hand on his cheek he grips the bars growling as he closed his eyes whispering her name "Kora." When Claire removed her hand Ace used his strength and speed to grab it "Ace-." She was cut off when I cut my blade in his shoulder he grunts and heals I pressed the tip to his throat "the next cut will be your head." He sighs and let's Claire go saying "I heard you last night I felt your bond I felt the love you two have for each other." Claire smiles at him "you will have what we have soon Ace." "I cannot wait I need her now." "These things take time a girl carries a baby for nine months she will still be too young for this you'll need to wait til at least she's sixteen." He growls "no that's too long Claire I need-." He was cut off "she's the mother she makes the rules sixteen is when you claim my daughter is that understood?." "Yes, captain." I put my sword away "good." Then ushered Claire out of the room immediately I took her wrist kissing the mark Ace left on her "I'm okay Alec." She took my hand and led me to the library " I want to help Allie break the curse but I don't know where to start." I cupped her cheek kissed her then grabbed a book about warlocks "this should be a good place to start baby." She smiles and opens the book I left her to do the research she wants to do the others were eating breakfast Zac was talking to Allie "my lady I have to do this he needs to die." "But he'll kill you, you can't go we just found one other again." He cups her cheek I shall-." "Not, go anywhere." He looks up "captain I must." "Zac you can't go alone it's what he wants besides Claire is the library trying to find a way to break the curse." He ran his fingers through his hair and starts to pace back and forth I took my seat at the table staring at him waiting for him to argue with me finally he stops slams his hands on the table glaring at me "she cannot help captain if Alcazar finds out Claire is helping then he will harm her stop her now." I stood up gripping his shirt pulling him closer "YOU DO NOT give me orders is that clear soldier?." "Alec you need to stop her." I growled getting ready to say something when Claire's screams echoes through the house quickly I ran to the library "CLAIRE." Smoke was coming out from the bottom of the door I kicked it in a fire was raging in the library "CLAIRE" It was like the cabin all over again "baby where are you?." It was too smokey to see anything Jackson came rushing in shifting and ran through the fire dragging Claire out an evil laugh echoes in the fire as it disappears I cradle her in my arms tapping her blackened cheeks "Claire, Claire wake up baby." She was still and lifeless just like she was when I held her bloody body in my arms two hundred years ago "come on baby wake up please wake up I just got you back." I couldn't feel her bond I knew what this meant "no, baby don't go, don't leave me." I set my forehead on hers rocking her whispering sweet things then out of where she woke up gasping for air coughing I cupped her cheek "Claire oh, my love I thought I lost you forever." Zac spoke "this was Alcazar I warned you captain he will not stop til he gets what he wants." I looked at him more like glaring Claire gave one more big cough closing her eyes a book slips out of her hand that was somewhat burned she whispers "unicorn sword." I was confused and so was everyone else I picked her up and the book laying her on the couch "captain what does she mean by unicorn sword?." "I'm not sure Jackson." I met his eyes "thank you." He nods I sat in the chair watching her sleep then glanced at the book waving my hand it opens I read it page after page after page then stopped at a certain one picking up the book reading out loud "listen to this." They were all paying attention so I read what Claire found "there are many ways to get rid of curses and evil you can use magic blessed by the white witch or you can use charms made by seekers but in order to break a curse for good you must kill the warlock or evil witch with a sword made from a unicorn horn this sword is soo powerful that it could kill Satan. In order to find the sword you must go on a journey to where the curse was first placed and prove your worthy to wield this powerful weapon." I looked at them Zac looked relieved that there was a way to cure his mate from the curse "where is the sword exactly captain?." He asked glancing at the page to continue "the sword is held in the cave of truth once you enter you will face yourself, you will face demons who will try to lead you the wrong way if you choose to follow the demons you will perish if you do not choose that path then you'll be asked questions which you need to answer truthfully if you lie once you'll be trapped in the cave forever." Everyone was silent Allie looks worry and scared Zac cups her cheek "I have to do this baby." "Zac, you can't he'll kill you." He smirks then kissed her he met my eyes "captain grant me this request please." I looked down turning the page "there's more." I said "how much more?." I took a deep breath read the rest "there is no being nor man who has ever wield this weapon those who have tried died by touch." Allie gasped "you can't go it's too dangerous I'll lose you." He sighs cups her cheek then kissed her "captain-." "You can't do this alone Zac besides you should wait til we find a way for you to hold the sword in your hands." He didn't like my decision but he had no choice to follow my order Claire stirs and sat up I knelt down in front of her "baby are you alright?." She nods "I think so." I sighed in relief then kissed her she wraps her arms around me taking in my scent whispering "I love you." I smiled and kissed her once more "and I love you." I carried her to the room laying her down on the bed kissing her roughly clothes came off the bond wraps around us the moment I entered her she whimpers as I pushed my tongue in her mouth growling taking her, claiming her, enjoying her she rakes her nails down my back marking me as hers she has always done that and I would wear them proudly "Alec." She moans my name I kissed her neck lightly "I thought of lost you." She whines "I'm here." I kissed her releasing myself inside her. The bond dies down I pulled out of her she cups my cheek stares into my eyes I watched her fall asleep I stayed with her afraid to leave my mate's side I closed my eyes for a few minutes so I thought because when I got up it was dark outside but I had this feeling that something wasn't right so I quickly got dressed grabbing my sword leaving my room and there on the couch was a vampire drinking a glass of blood his eyes were green "who are you?." He tilts his head to the side slightly "I am west Jackson." I didn't like this guy not one bit nor did I trust him "leave my house vampire." He took drink of the blood in the glass "I cannot Ace is my prodigy which means he has my blood and as his maker I can feel his emotions he is angry for what he has done I am here to help him." " You mean your here to kill him." For a second his eyes turn red my blade under his chin he smirks and Shivers "you see that shiver that is the call of my prodigy he is calling me to him." He shivered again grumbling I said "follow me, but if you try anything I will cut off your head." West sets the blood down and followed me to the confinement room where Ace was he glances up "Master, you came." "Of, course I did Ace you are my prodigy who is in pain." Ace chuckles "pain is the last thing I feel right now I'm glad for what I did." "Duncan was your brother and yet you killed him I felt his presence leaving." Ace tilt his head slightly "I'm sure you did Master but what I did was to protect someone." West smiles "your Mate you found her?." I spoke "his Mate is my daughter my Mate can give images of the future that's what she did when she touched Ace." "Hmm, interesting." Ace used his speed to come closer "she's beautiful her name is Kora she isn't born yet but the moment I saw the image of her and I bonding I had to get rid of the threat before Duncan found out about her." "He threatened to kill your Mate?." He smirks "he did all because I refused to join his clan he tried to kill me when I told him no and that's when he said he'll kill my mate when I find her." West was quiet for a few minutes "do you have prove of this for the counsel." He took out his phone and brought up the recording minutes later west's phone went off "this is an recording of our conversation and his threat there's even a video after I told Duncan no the first time he let it go but the second time I was with Jackson he recorded the whole thing." West stuck his phone in his pocket "I shall report this to the counsel if they request for your presence then I will return if not then you are free." Ace nods and watched his maker zip away he waits a few minutes then sends the recording and video to someone else he met my eyes "the counsel I have a feeling that west is going to delete what I sent him." A smirk curves my lips "you don't trust your maker do you?." He gave a chuckle "of, course not I only called him to me just to read his thoughts." I raised an eyebrow at him "you can read thoughts?." He smirks "other vampires yes." His eyes turn red for a second I can tell he was starting to be himself again pulling out my sword as I grabbed the key "if you go after my mate again I will kill you." "That's not going to happen she's the mother to my mate." I tilt my head slightly trying to figure out what he meant by his words but he only smirks I let him out Ace sped by me I followed him he was talking to Jackson "do you hear it?." "Yes, it's quite interesting." I was confused it was like they had their own language Zac and I looked at each other for a few minutes Claire came out of the bedroom holding her stomach "baby what's the matter?." She met my eyes then ran off to the bathroom Ace smirks Jackson chuckles "this will be fun." He says I rolled my eyes and went to the bathroom Claire was sitting on the floor "I don't feel good." I wiped her mouth and started a warm bath for her "come here baby." She crawls into my lap our clothes were gone with a snap of my fingers she was sitting in front of me as I washed her up her soft fingers ran across the pink blanket "do you ever think about her?...... What she might've looked like or who she looked like?." "Everyday baby, every single day." She turns to face me cups my cheek "maybe it's time to put this away." Sighing I stared at the old half burnt pink blanket that was tied around my wrist she sets her hand on it "Alec, please your letting the pass eating you alive." I met her eyes "they will pay for this Claire, she kept me sane when I lost you I felt like she was with me guiding me through time." She looks down a tear hits the water I raised her chin up "sweetheart-." "I miss the feeling of her moving around in my stomach, watching her grow, making me uncomfortable at night." She got out of the tub wraps a towel around herself I got out as well grabbing her arm "Claire-." "I'm afraid Alec, I'm afraid that history will repeat itself." She ran off to the bedroom sat on the bed I felt her pain, and fear her sorrow running my fingers through my hair I stared at myself in the mirror then moved my eyes to the pink blanket with my daughter's name on it then glanced at my mate watching her shoulders shake as she cries I gave myself one more look before I shoved myself away from the mirror and walked in the bedroom picking up my sword she watched me taking the blanket off my wrist "I'll never put this away however I won't wear it anymore it will remain here on my sword." She gave a small sniffle then a smile and hugs me "thank you." She was happy "anything for you my love." Her lips lands on my cheek our eyes met she lowers my sword I pinned her down holding her wrists in my one hand hiking her leg up on my shoulder "Alec." A smirk curves my lips leaning down to kiss her when a knock was on the door growling I pulled away from her "we're late for school." She sat up "school you go to school?." I chuckled "sure do I mean that is how I got you in my bed is it not?." She blushed "your talking about the invitation aren't you?." "Of, course I am baby. The moment I felt you home I wanted to claim you right then and there but sweetheart I had to wait for your memories of us together in our past life to return to you." She weakly smiles at me and got dressed she was acting weird I was beginning to worry Claire felt it in our bond "I'm okay Alec." She was lying "Claire did you forget that I can feel your emotions and read your bond?." She sighs met my eyes "I'm okay I promise but it's like I said before." She wraps her arms around me "I'm just scared Alec what if Kurt tries to take me again or a different hunter?." I raised her chin up leaning down to kiss her "baby that will never happen Kurt will pay for what he did and no hunter will get an inch near you because I'm not leaving your side ever again." She smiles and kissed me
