HEAR ME OUT

CHAPTER TWO: SIBLINGS

I was drying my hair when I suddenly heard my phone ring. My brows furrowed when I saw Iska's icon. 'Di ko pa s'ya nakakausap simula kanina.

"Iska" I'm still drying my hair while holding my phone.

"Open mo laptop mo! Sagutin mo VC ko!" nagmamadaling utos n'ya. Pwede naman sa cellphone ba't kailangan laptop pa?

"Ba't sa laptop pa?" kinuha ko ang laptop ko at binuksan ito.

"Basta! bye!" pinatay n'ya kagad ang tawag at ilang saglit pa ay tumunog naman ang laptop ko.

Kaagad na tumambad sa 'kin ang hitsura ni Iska na akala mo nag-marathon. Medyo magulo pa ang camera n'ya at mukhang naglalakad s'ya papasok sa kwarto n'ya.

"Eya!" pabulong na tawag nya

"Anong nangyare sa 'yo?" I asked confusedly.

She fixed her hair a bit "You won't believe what happened!" she said hysterically 

'ano namang eksena nito?'

"Ba't sa laptop ka tumawag? Anong nangyayare? Ba't ba parang stress na stress ka?" sunod-sunod na tanong ko habang kitang kita ko sa screen kung pa'no n'ya binagsak ang sarili sa higaan. She then burried her face on the pillow and screamed. "...wow, nasagot mo lahat ng tanong ko." I sarcastically added.

She then faced me " Wait lang kase!" aba sinisigawan pa 'ko. "...ayoko na dito!" she suddenly said while sobbing. Now, I guess this is a serious matter. 

"What happened?" I asked her seriously as I put my blower on top of my desk. Kanina maayos naman s'ya ah? 

'yan cutting pa'

"Kinuha ni kuya phone ko!" she screamed and then burried her face once again on the pillow. I remembered her saying she have a brother when we were still getting to know each other and now we've been friends ever since first year high school. Until now 'di ko pa rin nakikilala 'yung kuya n'ya, I don't even know his name.

'he's nameless. jk'

Iska said that he's not living with them because he's with their relatives for some unknown reasons and she also said that he stopped for 2 years on attending school and started working instead. I find it weird because I know that their family is capable of sending them to school because they own several companies too but why did he chose to stop? Sayang kase just by thinking that many people would choose studying over working because they want to reach their dreams and to learn but him? He chose to work and live far away from his family. 

'well, maybe it's his own way of learning? I don't know.'

"So, he's back?" I asked her. She faced me once again while hugging her pillow. 

"Yes!-" Iska suddenly looked somewhere in her room "...No! I'm not letting you in-I'm talking to my friend! Lalayas na 'ko!" she shouted like a spoiled brat and then I heard someone saying something but it's inaudible.

"Sino yon? Why are you shouting like a spoiled brat?" Hilig talaga makipag-away nito, ewan ko ba. 

"It's kuya! He's trying to open the door!" 

"Ano bang nangyari? Imbes na sabihin mo puro ka sigaw d'yan." I asked her seriously this time. Seriously. 

"Alam na ni kuya na I'm seeing someone..." she then covered her face with her hands. "Mom and dad would be so mad once they knew about this! I don't know what to do..." She started sobbing like a child again.

"What?" I asked in disbelief "Jusko naman Iska..." nasapo ko ang noo ng wala sa oras. Nag-cutting na nga s'ya, nahuli pa.

"He also knew na nag-cutting ako and-kuya! How did you get in?!" she hysterically said. I guess her brother managed to find a way to get in her room. Muli kong nasampal ang noo sa mga nangyayaring 'to. Mukhang damay pa ko nito ah. "...I'll end the call muna!" she whispered while still looking at somewhere in her room. I can't see it on the screen but I guess it's her brother.
