Villains are the antagonists of the books, that are they to cause mayhem, have evil intentions, and are either trying to stop the protagonist, or the protagonist is trying to stop them.

10. Hollyleaf: The murderer of ashfur, the plot twist where she killed him and hid in the tunnel.. just wow. She doesn't have any pizzaz, and is a very poor villain, she barely ranks higher than ashfur on this list.
9. Breezepelt: The angsty teen, he is a villain on his list. The fact that he joined the dark forest, and afterwards didn't care! What an angsty teen! He is a very annoying character and I wouldn't mind not having him in the series
8. Hawkfrost: A cat betrayed by his brother. How. sad. He really only have five lines, but I still enjoyed his plan. Catching Firestar in that fox trap. JENIUS! If he had lived longer, he might've been higher on this list.
7. Thistleclaw: Tigerstar's mentor. Thistleclaw never really did any evil, apart from training in the dark forest and training others in the dark forest. Although he did prevent Bluestar from seeing her nephew. Really sad.
6. Tigerstar: Tigerstar was a really evil character. His kill count is around 10, and what kind of cat does that? In Redtail's debt, I enjoyed how Tigerstar treated him, and the end result wasn't so pretty. His ambition led to his demise, and he got killed in one go, despite his nine lives (which i believe StarClan refused to heal properly)
5. Sol: The infamous cat in Eclipse. It was very interesting to see him use his words to decieve others, and not his claws. However, I don't like him. He tried to destroy the clans and whatever, and I hated how no warrior really stood up to him.
4. Scourge: Possibly the smallest villain ever, Scourge is a very creative villain. Tricking cats into thinking he was a dog-slayer and building his own clan. I really liked him as a villain, and how he didn't just die immediately, and actually put up a fight with Firestar.
3. Mapleshade: I can already hear the Mapleshade fans yelling at me for not putting her up any higher. Personally, she is a very mean character, although misunderstood. But I give her no sympathy at all for her antagonistic crimes.
2. Brokenstar: Possibly the second most evil cat of all time, he was ruthless. He killed many kits, and as a dark forest refugee, he forced cats to kill their friends and family, otherwise he'd kill them. Unlike Tigerclaw and Thistleclaw who had understandable motives (Tigerstar: Father became a kittypet, Thistleclaw: Snowfur died, Spottedleaf rejected him) he had no clear motives. He was spoilt by his father, he rejected his mother, e.t.c.
1. Darktail: The most evil cat of all, using teeth, claws and words to deceive others. He is, by far, the closest a cat has ever come to destroying the clans. He befriended Hawkwing then killed his father, he was left on ShadowClan territory and then took over. He had a way of knowing everything, and he went on a ruthless killing spree and murdered those who wanted to leave or fight him.
