CATALINA ALTIERI CEASED TO BELIEVE IN LOVE A LONG TIME AGO. The illegitimate daughter and sole heir to the Altieri fortune knew better than to fool herself with the possibility of happiness. She was never satisfied with her accomplishments, if anything, they increased her strive for perfection as she lived to honor the Noble House of Altieri, longing for society's approval that never came because of the questioning of her blood status.
WHEN INFORMED OF HER ENGAGEMENT WITH SIRIUS BLACK, she accepted it with grace and was thankful for a chance at redeeming her family name. She never paused to question how wrong and twisted things were until her estranged fiancé left the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black and shattered her future in society. Being sorted into Ravenclaw was acceptable but not the desired outcome the same way her new betrothal with Regulus Black was not what neither expected nor desired. But, as their parents had said, it would be a waste to let the now disowned son ruin the union of two prominent and respectable families.
