~ This takes place Before they start announcing the starting lineup~
Lev's POV
It is almost time for the game to start so the team was just resting and preparing themselves to give it their all. I was felt like I was being eaten alive by my nerves. Just the thought of us losing the match made me want to crawl into a corner and hide from the world. The way I felt reminded me of a story my mom told me once.
(Note: I made this an omega verse because it makes no sense on how lev and Alisa can be the biological kids of Victor and Yuuri otherwise.)
~Past memory~
"Mommy!! I'm scared what if I go on the ice and fall and get hurt." Lev cry's out to Yuuri.
Yuuri look up from tying Levs skates up. "Lyovochka, there is nothing to be scared of. You are going to fall but that is all part of learning. Just remember that when you are scared to fall." Yuuri sits next to lev and continues talking. "How bout I tell you a story."
Lev: yay yay mommy's story mommy's story!!
Yuuri: So once a long time ago there was a boy name Yuuri.
Lev: That's your name
Yuuri: Yup, that is my name. Continuing with my story Yuuri had just finished competing in his first Grand Prix and he fell many times. This resulted in him coming in last, Yuuri was so sad about this he contemplated quitting skating forever.
Lev: Quit skating? But he is amazing.
Yuuri: He sure was. So Yuuri went back to his home and that night he chose to go to his favorite ice skating rink to skate. When Yuuri was skating your older cousins chose to video tape him, they later posted it online. That is were a very talented skater named Victor saw the video and flew all the way to Japan to couch Yuuri.
Lev: Daddy went to coach you right mommy right?
Yuuri: He sure did. Victor helped Yuuri improve his skating and soon Yuuri was not afraid of falling and making mistakes anymore. Daddy was my good luck charm.
~End of Flashback~
With that memory I remembered some things I bring to competition to help me in these situations. I walk over to my bag and get out the dog tissue holder my dad used. When I was 3 he gave me it and I never leave anywhere without it.
Like my mom said it is like a good luck charm. I sat my tissue holder aside and dug around my bag a little more and got out my phone. I pulled up my photo's and started scrolling through them till I landed on a set of pictures that make me smile.
My dad use to put captions like this on his photo's so people didn't know about us being his biological kids. I take a deep breath in and out to get myself ready for the match. Just as they were about to call our team for starting line up I give my stuffed dog tissue box a hug and put my stuff back in my bag. I quickly walk over to the team and get my mind on the game.
Yaku: You good Lev
Lev: yup, ready as I'll ever be.
Yaku: Just remember our training and you will do great
Yaku gives me a me a loving smile before he walks away and I can't but help to notice what my mom meant all those years ago about dad being his good luck charm.
~To be continued~
Two chapters in a day that was a lot of writing but that is it for this chapter. The next chapter we will get into the match. I don't know when I will post next but it will probably be sometime next week.
~Hope you Enjoyed~
