The snowfall casts a gloomy blue hue trough your bedroom window, some rays of the morning sun cracking trough. Despite the cold you let the wind flow trough your curtains. Some slight steam coming from your cup of coffee, the light from your laptop casting over your eyes and a light howl in the air. Your fingers fastly typing away while you are working on your report of the village
From what you've discovered so far while living in your secluded cabin, everything seemed so dead and quiet. Locals refused to talk to you. It only seems like a middle of nowhere village, it's quite depressing... Well it was your choice to never get a partner weather that be friend or more to enjoy your adventures with you. You would be lying if you said it didn't get lonely, but the excitement keeps you on your toes

"Maybe I should go deeper into the forest to further investigate" you say to yourself as you get up from under the cover and walk over to the drawer. There was a local that warned you not to leave your house after sunset, let alone travel to far from the village. If you listened to every warning you've been told, your life would have been boring. Your reflection looks back at you from the cracked mirror, "I'm well trained, I know how to look after myself. I always have" you think to yourself
There's questions that need to be answered and you definitely won't be another victim of this village. You slide open the drawer and take out what you'll need for your journey. Two pistols with ammo, a combat knife and a katana, nothing too fancy but you know maybe you'll need to cut branches with it. Apart from weapons you also take all the other stuff you'll need like medicine, your phone, food, etc. You strap a belt over your hips to holster your weapons. The warm clothes would surely keep the cold at bay. With that you take your leave

Through the shivers running trough your body and the leaves crackling underneath you with each step you take, you think that maybe this wasn't the brightest idea. Once again boredom and curiousity led you to a situation you somewhat regret being in. Not that anyone would favor walking in circles around a cold winter forest. What makes you frustrated is the lack of findings, none. Maybe these people overthinked this whole mysterious village thing. Yes people went missing, anyone would lose track of path in this forest. The trees line around you like the distorted walls of a maze.

There has to be something, why would people just go missing? You really doubt they would wander into the forest willingly. The trees towering above you block out every bit of sun, you lost track of time hopefully it isn't as late as you think it is. You check your phone to see that it's 6:00 pm, the sun is probably setting and of course you have no signal.

Fear wasn't something you felt often, you are just a little concerned by your situation. Slowly the hallway of trees comes to an end and you're greeted by the sunset. There's still maybe 2 hours left before it's completely dark. You can see the outline of small buildings in the distant not so far ahead. It be best to head in for the night, hopefully these locals are friendly. A narrow path carved in the snow leads you to the your location.

There's not a person in sight, maybe they already headed in. It's quiet and empty, almost seems abandoned. Just what the fuck would drive a person to live here? You make your way over to what seems to he a tavern.

However... The door has been completely ripped off and a blood splatter against the floor follows behind. On Instinct you ready your pistol and switch on your flashlight, taking slow steps inside. The dim light from your flashlight reveals a horrifying scene that makes your stomach turn. Walls painted with blood, furniture turned upside-down, a strong sent of alcohol coming from the shattered bottles on the ground mixed with a strong metallic smell oozing of the blood stained wood. The broken glass cracks under your feet as you take careful steps forward. There's scratches imgraved along the counter that follows the trail of blood. What's left of a human lies behind the counter. You gag as you see the half devoured person spreading across the floor.
You finally found your lead...
