In a world where as soon as your born.. your fate has been sealed. From your role in society, to the person you'll spend forever with. Every choice is written in stone.
People like to go about their lives following fates path. I could never do it. Make a choice that was already decided for me. I didn't have any freedom, I may as well have been watching a movie about my life. It's hard to tell what's me and what's not. Choosing something that I don't want to choose or maybe that was on purpose. Was I supposed to choose the one I didn't want? Was that also just written in my story? Maybe all of this is fake and I'm saying this because I have to.
Once the words of my story have been written, they cannot be undone. So, this is the story that has been written for me, that I must follow.

Running down the hall Keith tried to get to class on time, looking at the watch that showed he had a minute left. Out of breath and with a single textbook in his hand and some homework papers. Without realizing he crashed into what he thought was a wall. Apon looking up he saw a male larger then himself, well built with slightly defined muscles showing through his tight fitted white shirt. He had a sharp jawline with slightly dark skin and brown hair that fell around his face perfectly around mid-forehead length. Once meeting his dark chocolate brown eyes a blush came to both of their cheeks. Keith quickly tried to pick up his papers and the final one they gently touched knuckles. Keith only shook his head saying thank you and quickly running off. It was all fates cliche little game.

Woken up to a blaring alarm Lance slammed his hand against it to make it stop. Getting up from bed in a sleepy daze he rubbed his eyes and got out of bed yawning. Throwing on a white t-shirt and dark blue jeans he left the house nothing with him. He'd normally leave everything in his locker as he normally didn't have homework, being able to do everything quickly at school before walking home. A short 7 minute walk. Apon entering he was quickly noticed as he was known as the prince of women. A name given to him by many people as he had dated, many girls, in preschool. The name stuck throughout high school as he rejected every girl. His eyes already set on someone who didn't know he existed. Lance normally got to school later then most allowing him to go to class straight away and avoid a lot of people as well as unwanted attention. Today though, was Friday. First peroid he had free as he was a year ahead in Spanish than the others so the teacher had given him the hour to do as he liked. That being either wondering the hall, staying in class or going out to town. He decided to wander the halls while people got to class unwillingly. By the time most had cleared the halls he was alone just walking with his thumbs in his front pockets. He hadn't realized a short figure running twords him until he felt something hit into him. Looking down he was, shocked. The male obviously, like he had figured, had no idea who he was but he still remembered. Everyday he thought about what the other had done for him..

Fates cards had dealt me a losing hand. My mother died at birth and my father became sad and alone. I wasn't blessed with any siblings so while growing up I learned to cook and do things on my own while he would sleep or cry. I was thankful for him never touching alcohol. He was sad but years, later he had started blaming me. I started trying to be the best at everything even getting girls to fall for me only to get his approval and to show I didn't out mom's life to waste. I started dating anyone who would ask me out at only 7. Apon the years I continued, only, I was never interested. That's when I met you. I was in the park, 11 years old throwing rocks into a pond. I saw you in the waters reflection with a smile. I wondered what you could be so happy about in this cruel world, though, you were sheltered and happy back then. The stars in your eyes somehow died out over the years. I finally found you again in high school and hadn't want to loose you again.
Turning to face you, you gave me your hand. "You look sad. My mom says if I smile, others will feel happy too!" You said it with such proudness and confidence I couldn't help but smile. Yours only widened and with a clap of your hands you hugged me before waving goodbye. That small act of kindness never left me.. the tingles I got from seeing your happiness.
Seeing him now again, Lance knew he hadn't changed a bit. He bent down grabbing the paper at the same time as the smaller male feeling their knuckles touch. The same tingles he felt back then came back and made him happy once again. Only, the feeling left far too fast as the other ran off.

Lance always thought his cards were dealt badly but, he was never happier knowing that fate had a plan, and that plan, would bring them together.
