A/N: I don't own Dan and Phil. That'd be creepy.
The camera turns on. Dan and Phil are sitting in Phil's tidy room on the bed; Dan on the left, and Phil on the right. They take a breath, and begin.
"Hello internet," Dan says in a serious tone, not cracking a smile. Something is a little off, not only his voice, but his overall appearance. He seems stressed, worried, maybe even a bit uncomfortable.
"Hey guys..." Phil trails off. "We have," he pauses, unsure if he should go through with this. "...something to tell you." He lets out a nervous laugh and looks to Dan for the next part.
"Phil and I became friends almost six years ago, and since then, we've always had people shipping us. A lot more now than then, but there were shippers from the start." His head turns to Phil in hopes that he can continue. Their faces soften when they glance at each other. It seems as though Dan wouldn't have been able to film this without Phil, and vice versa.
Phil places an arm on Dan's thigh comfortingly and flashes him a nervous smile. Dan tries to return the smile, but he seems nervous and afraid.
Phil starts again, eyes directed towards the camera. "We didn't want to tell people because we didn't want to be known for being this way, we wanted to be known for our content on youtube."
Dan adds on, "We've always known you guys would be supportive of it, but we wanted a positive reputation from other things first." He pauses for a moment, planning out his next words. "We've become a lot less serious about it lately, and we're sure it's obvious at this point." The worry begins to fade, and a smile tugs at his lips. Phil senses this, and immediately relaxes too. Now they appear to be confident in where they're going with this.
Phil laughs and reaches over to pull Dan's head towards his own, giving him two small pecks on the lips. He doesn't want to overdo it. After all, they're on camera.
As they pull away, Dan smiles, not removing his eyes from Phil. He reaches for Phil's hand and slowly turns to the camera, Phil still watching him. He slowly breathes in. "Phan is real," he whispers, almost laughing at this point, his eyes glimmering happily.
"Yeah, it's real." Phil jumps on top of Dan and pulls him down on the bed. They hadn't made physical contact like this on camera in five years. Then, the screen goes black. The video is over.
