TRIGGER WARNING: depression and family issues (btw sorry for the bad pov-)
He strode by you so carelessly, it was to believe that he's never even laid eyes on you. His cold demeanor was what somewhat drew you in towards him, hoping to crack something through the stone cold facade he kept on at all times. Yet, Levi Ackerman wasn't one to just break over a bit of pressure.
But the one who wasn't able to bare pressure was you, sadly burdened with a continuous stream of unwanted thoughts, the toxic daydreams that slowly seemed to compose your reality that you built yourself and the abandonment issues that continuously pressures you to walk away from people. It was the sad reality you built yourself, seeing the world through shades of grey and hues of blue.
Levi walked off to the next class, entering without sparing a glance. It was to be expected, he never showed an ounce of empathy towards anyone really. Yet, you held some sort of hope, some random, weak string of hope that there could be a chance he notices you the way you wished he did. More than a plain hello when he showed up to see your brother, Erwin, more than half a glance, more than just being a brushed off talking topic.
But who where you, (Y/N) Smith, trying to fool with those lost hopes? Even the wind, who slowly caries your deep night cries into the nothingness aand darkness of the night, seemed to let out a airy laugh at you.
It was simply impossible. You knew it more than anyone. The slight slings across your thighs were just another reminder as to why you were simply being absurd, just another reason as to why you should not even think of being with someone. He'll leave you or betray you at some point, just look at his physical, he can make so many girls fall for him with a glance.
As for you, you were only the best friend's little sister. The one that seemed to be the taboo subject of the family, the one no one ever seems to understand or catch on to anything. The daydreaming, empty minded space filler of the family home, just barely showing a sign of existance within the family life, but also never being acknowledged by the family itself.
It was just easy to be forgotten now, from the start your parents never seemed to keen to having a second child. Was it because you could be sensitive, unlike them? Or was it because you always lived in your brothers shadow, just hoping one day it'll swallow you entirely and hide your existance fully, to slowly disapear in the dark without worries.
The school bell snapped you out of it, walking slowly to class, unoticed as always. The teachers never called your name in class anyway, almost as if it was erased feom the school's registry list, to your pleasure. Good thing this was your last class of the day anyway, you cpuld just be off in less than an hour.
The slight problem was that you wanted to avoid the house for the night since Erwin was throwing a party. You didn't want to be involved with any of it, nor did seeing a bunch of drunk teens your age or deafening music appeal you. It was just the type of thing you had to endure with your year older brother. He never really invited you anyway, probably because he knew you'd be the embarassement of the family.
The woods seemed like a easant option, especially since they were beside your house. It would be a nice shelter for the night and the music wouldn't be so unbarable from there. It was decided, the woods were your after class destination.
Surprisingly enough, class ended soon enough, so you packed up and headed out. As always, Erwin stood near the school doors, silently waiting for Levi and you (but mostly Levi according to you). As soon as you reached his side, he started to walk behind you as you walked a bit faster. As always, it was quiet, no words were spoken really when you were around. That's why you sped walk, you hated the silence. You felt almost judged, if not silently made fun of.
