Allan

We were both panting. Exhausted. But I know that I have to protect her at all cost. She's family. I will do whatever it takes to save her.

I looked at her and pain gripped my chest. She was sobbing uncontrollably and in distress. She kept shaking her head and seemed to be in a trance. "Izzy, listen to me," I said, as I shook her trying to snap her out of her state.

"Allan..." she whispered, fear evident in her voice.

"Look at me," I said.

She did.  "When I tell you to run, you run and you don't look back."

She frowned. "You?"

"Just run," I said. "Run and don't stop," he said. "Here, put this on. Don't lose it," I said as I put my crucifix necklace on her. I had put a tracker in it. It will help my men find her. I didn't think things were going to do gown south fast and as we were trying to rescue Isabella, we got separated from our men and Dave.

Fuck.

They have him. I have to go back for him.

Tears continued streaming down her face. "How about you?" She asked again.

"I'll be right behind you," I said.

She grasped my arm, making me look straight into her eyes. "Promise?" She asked.

I swallowed hard. What is she doing to me?

"We don't have time for this. Just listen to me and run. Now!" I said.

"Allan..." she tried to protest and argue, but I didn't let her.

"Run," I yelled. That got her moving.

Isabella

He said he would be right behind me.

He wasn't.

Worry and fear filled me. Here I am sitting in Nate's car, while Allan is back there, possibly hurt.

Or worse... No! I shook my head.

"Where is he?" I asked Nate.

"Don't worry. Allan is good at what we do. He'll be fine. I've got my men looking for him."

"It's all my fault," I cried.

"Bella, stop it. None of this is your fault," Nate said.
He gave me a bottled water. "Drink this, Bella," he said.

I shook my head fiercely. "No! I need Allan. I need to see him. To make sure he's okay."

"Bella... I promise you. He'll be okay. Now I need you to calm down and drink this," he said again, looking me straight in the eyes as he nodded at me.

I took what he offered and drank it.

Dave appeared and looked at Nate. A silent conversation passed between them.

Nate's expression changed.

I frowned. "What's wrong? what happened? Allan?" I fired one question after another.

"Stay with her," Nate ordered one of his men.

"No! Nate, tell me! Is it Allan?" I asked after him, but he kept going.

Fear and guilt gripped me

Oh god, please. Please, let him be okay.

He has to be okay.
