Not really a random thought but a rocomendation

Rick. Written by Alex Gino, Rick is a story about a young boy named Rick, going into middle school and learning new things about his identity and the identity of others around him. The book follows his journey to becoming a teenager, and getting new friends that are similar to him.

The book is well written and brought me to the brink of tears, and almost nothing can get me to cry but emotional/questioning/queer characters and a dramatic, emotion character development arc can make me cry. It was beautiful. The characters are well diverted and the plot was great.

It's an easy read with a hard cover book that I am sure you can find it in a school library or maybe even in a public library.
