The final day of the trip arrived, and the atmosphere was a mix of lingering excitement and a hint of sadness as everyone knew they would soon be heading back to their daily routines. The morning was filled with a leisurely breakfast and some final beach activities. Eren and Mikasa decided to take a walk along the shore, savoring the last moments of their time together in this paradise.
The sun was warm on their backs as they strolled, the sand soft beneath their feet. They talked about their favorite parts of the trip, shared stories from their childhoods, and made tentative plans to meet up outside of work.
"You know, this has been one of the best trips I've ever been on," Eren said, glancing over at Mikasa. "Not just because of the place, but because of the people."
Mikasa smiled, "It's been really special."
As they reached a secluded part of the beach, they sat down on a large rock, watching the waves roll in. Eren felt a sense of calm wash over him, the kind that only comes from being in the presence of someone you care about.
"I've enjoyed spending time with everyone," Eren said quietly. "I hope we can do this again sometime."
Mikasa nodded, her eyes meeting his.
"Hey, we were looking for you guys!" Sasha shouted from afar.
The group of friends gathered by the large rock and chatted for a few hours before heading back to the hotel.
The rest of the morning passed quickly. Soon, it was time to pack up and head back to the bus. Eren felt a pang of sadness as he loaded his bags, but it was tempered by the excitement of what lay ahead. The trip had given him new perspectives and deepened his connections with those around him, especially her.
On the bus ride back, the mood was relaxed. People chatted and laughed, sharing photos and memories from the trip. Eren sat next to Mikasa, their shoulders brushing as they leaned in to look at the pictures on his camera.
"Look at this one," Connie said, pointing to a photo of them building a sandcastle. "We made a pretty good team."
"We did," Jean agreed, smiling. "Maybe we should enter a sandcastle competition next time."
As the bus pulled into the city, the reality of their daily lives began to set in. Eren felt a mixture of anticipation and reluctance. He was looking forward to putting the lessons and insights from the trip into practice, but he also knew he would miss the carefree days by the beach.
Back at the office, the trip's impact was evident. The atmosphere was more collaborative and friendly, and the connections forged during the vacation translated into a stronger, more cohesive team. Eren found himself looking forward to work each day, not just because of the tasks at hand, but because of the people he worked with.
Grisha called a meeting a week after their return to debrief and discuss the next steps for their collaborations with Titan Bistro and LA Café. The room was filled with a sense of optimism and renewed energy.
"I'm proud of what we've accomplished so far," Grisha said, his eyes shining with pride. "Let's keep this momentum going and continue to support each other, both professionally and personally."
After the meeting, Eren caught up with Mikasa. They had grown even closer since the trip, often meeting up for coffee or lunch and sharing their thoughts and ideas.
"How about we grab some coffee later?" Eren asked, his tone casual but his eyes hopeful.
"That sounds great," Mikasa replied, her smile warm and genuine. "There's a new place I've been wanting to try."
As they walked out of the office together, Eren felt a sense of excitement for the future.
The beach trip had come to an end.
