Chapter VI

Chapter VI - Rules. Over and Over Again.

"I can't wait, OMG, this is going to be so fun!" Demi squealed as she packed her clothes into a suitcase. Selena chuckled at her best friend and smiled, "Yeah, I'm sure it would... I just hope this isn't AWKWARD!" 

"Oh, come on, you'll be just fine. You seemed fine when you walked in yesterday with Nick- what happened out there anyway?"

Selena looked up from her clothes to see Demi with a serious look on her face. Selena smiled, "This isn't anything to be serious about, Demz- He tripped into a pot plant next to the bathroom and I walked out on him."

Selena waited for Demi to process the information and they both collapsed into pools of laughter. 

"And what did you do-?" Demi gasped, still laughing as she clutched her sides. 

"Well, I was already trying not to laugh, but I thought that it would be rude of me if I did, so I asked if he was okay." Selena paused as Demi raised herself from the floor and sat on the edge if the bed.

"He said sorry about being really rude, and I forgave him," Selena finished, shrugging.

"Well that's sweet of him- I kinda like you and him together- don't get me wrong, I'm just saying," Demi raised her hands up in front of her as she saw Selena's eyes widen.

"Well, he's happy with Miley, I'm happy for him- but... nevermind." Demi smiled at her best friend, "Come on, Nick doesn't doesn't seem happy with Miley- she's so clingy."

Selena laughed as she continued to pile in more clothes. They were given the country/state and it was going to windy the time they're there.

"How many- that is the fourth scarf I've seen you put in there. I'm not even sure why you have a thing with scarves, they are itchy and annoying." Demi stated as Selena chuckled, putting the scarf into her suitcase anyway.

"Well, you don't like scarves, but I do, and I don't think they're itchy," Selena reasoned simply.

Demi shook her head and continued to add polo shirts and jackets into her duffel bag.

Nick

"This is gonna be a hell of a summer," Joe yelled from across the room as he packed his clothes. Kevin nodded, "I'm gonna have fun."

I sighed, "Hopefully..."

Kevin  and Joe burst into laughter and I facepalmed myself. Joe slowed down and started to breath calmly again, "I kinda forgot about that. Miley and Selena on the same set as Nick- whoo, get ready Kevin..."

They continued to laugh and I frowned, "What do you mean?"

"Miley... Selena..."

Then it hit me; I JUST broke up with Selena and JUST got with Miley. What- oh no, why didn't I think about that!?

"Nick, dude you okay?" Joe asks, chuckling. I glared at him and continued to pack my  clothes.

"So, how long are we gonna be there?" I asked, trying to change the subject. Joe stared at me, "Erm... the rest of the summer? Where were you when we talked about this?" 

I frowned, "You guys didn't even talk to me about it!"

Kevin stroked his chin, "Oh, yeah, you were busy out with Selena to the bathroom- what were you guys doing out there anyway?"
