14 | late night calls

"What Taehyung?" Jimin asked pushing his best friend away as soon as they entered their room after they got back from Jeongguk's house with the brunet's spell, "Do you wanna be a hero?"

"Jimin―" Taehyung tried to talk but couldn't when the other continued speaking, "No, if you wanna be a hero not caring about yourself and not wanting the credits or some, don't because that's fucking pathetic."

"Did you see how he just said you both were even when you almost losing your life is something he can probably never pay off?" the shorter male was literally barking at this point and Taehyung softly smiled before pulling the other in a tight hug, "Calm down, daddy."

"It's not a joke," Jimin let out a small chuckle before hugging back, "I am very angry and if you again try to be nice and help those arseholes, we are done. No more friendship with you."

"Alright, won't help them at all, ever again," the brunet pulled away and smiled before throwing himself on his bed, "What did I even expect from him? He is Jeon Jeongguk, he was, is and will always remain that ungrateful brat. I was stupid to think that maybe he isn't that bad when he is the worst."

"Exactly? Like you are stoopid." Jimin just exaggerated and stressed on the last word before plopping himself on his bed as well. They were honestly exhausted at the moment. It was almost three in the morning and they walking metres after metres to get to the blond's house not getting a minute of sleep which was a surely a waste of time and all they needed was some rest.

Even though exhaustion took over the brunet's body but his mind― his mind was still wide awake thinking about all the stuff going on these last few days helping his system to still keep going. He stared at the ceiling as if it was the most interesting thing to watch in the world until he was distracted by soft snores coming from his best friend.

That was the sign of his sleep getting deeper and with the passing time, it actually went louder. He didn't actually realize how long he had been y'know laying on his bed.

Suddenly his phone beside his pillow starts ringing and he momentarily reached for it only to declining it without seeing who it was, as soon as possible because he didn't want his bestie to wake up and get disturbed.

Jeon Jeongguk.

Don't ask why he had his number saved. He just did. Maybe because he could just ignore that if someday he calls, or maybe because he thought he might need his help one day. Who knows what goes in that head but now he was just debating with himself whether he should call back or just let it be. He turned on the vibration mode and sighed before pressing on that caller ID to call back the blond.

"Fuck me damnit!" Taehyung murmured under his breath when he realized what he was doing. He actually called him back even though sometime ago he said he won't be helping again and surely Jeongguk is calling for help. Not anything other than that of course.

"It's a surprise that you picked it up." Taehyung heart that voice which he labelled as the 'crow voice' even though it was one of the sweetest and most gorgeous voice ever. Even he himself admits but shush, it's a secret.

"Didn't mean to surprise you, bye then―" he wanted to hang up when he heard the younger speak from the other side, "No, wait a second."

"What is it?"

"These pussies backed off when we were about to start for forest," Jeongguk informed and the older could actually feel the amount of disappointment in his voice, the way he let out the longest sigh possible just made it crystal clear, "I got some cowards as my friend but can't say that about my rival, can I?"

"Smooth like a butter, Jeon. You are trying to flatter me but uh huh, ain't working. I will not help you ever again," Taehyung rolled his eyes again laying on his bed from his sitting position and pulled the blanket over his body when the cold air from the open window hit his tan skin, "Can't forget how much of an ungrateful bitch you are."
