Becka's POV
"Hey! Time to wake up, Sleepyhead!" My best friend/roommate, Holly yelled from beside my bed.
I pulled the covers over my head. "Ugh. What time is it?" I muttered between gritted teeth.
"7am! Haha! Come on, get dressed! You have to come to the airport with me." She replied.
"Shit. That's today?" I asked myself, not expecting her to answer.
"Yes. Now get your lazy ass up. I'm going to miss my flight!" She yelled, then threw my covers off of me.
My name is Rebecka Anne Hammond. I just turned 18 years old and I live in New York City with my best friend, Holly James. We recently moved here from West New York. Both of us have dreams of making big names for ourselves. I want to have my own talk show, or sing, or act; anything in show business, really. And Holly writes...basically anything. Songs, stories, plays. We both do. That's why we're best friends.
I slowly pulled myself from off my comforting, warm bed and staggered to the bathroom. I took a quick shower then went to my closet. I'm definitely a shopaholic. I probably have ten times the amount of clothes normal girls of my age do, but I don't care. I grabbed oxblood colored jeggings, a black, sheer, Peter-Pan collared top, an oxblood colored bandeau, and my favorite pair of black lace-up combat boots. Since it was October in NYC, I wanted to be warm, yet comfy. I slipped on my clothes and went back to the bathroom. I plugged my phone into my iHome and put it on shuffle. "Little Things" by One Direction came on. I love listening to this song while getting ready, it always makes me feel beautiful, and I can't help but sing along to the amazing lyrics. God bless Ed Sheeran. I brushed through my long brown hair and decided to let it dry naturally into it's beach waves. I then took out my makeup bag. I wasn't one of those girls who cakes on makeup, but I have a bit of an obsession with it. I quickly put my foundation on and rubbed it on my face-but not too much. Then I put on brown eyeliner and gold eyeshadow to make my caramel eyes stand out. To finish off my look, I put on my falsies mascara. I looked in the mirror. Perfect. I quickly sprayed on my favorite perfume-Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift, then grabbed my phone and walked back to my room to get my bag and sweater. I took my black leather shoulder bag and shoved my oxblood sweater in it in case I get chilly later, then left my room and made my way to the kitchen. Holly was sitting there waiting for me.
"Damn. It took you long enough, Princess." She laughed while looking up from the book she was reading at the table.
"Do you think this just happens?" I asked while pointing at my body. "So when are we leaving?" I laughed.
"If you're ready, then we can leave now. Do you want breakfast?"
"Nah. I can stop at Starbucks in the airport." I replied.
"Ok! Lets bounce." Holly said. She's so weird sometimes.
Holly is moving to LA today. She got a job as a paid intern to shadow over various directors in Hollywood. I'm so proud of her!
---------------------------------------------------------
"I love Starbucks." I sighed, while taking a sip of my tall cafe mocha.
"I know you do." Holly smiled.
"Flight 309 to Los Angeles International Airport, California is now boarding." An intercom voice blared from above us.
"I'm going to miss you so much!" Holly whined.
"Same here! Now go chase after your dreams! Text me every day and call me when you land. I love you, Holls!" I gave her a long hug, trying so hard not to cry.
"Love you too!" Holly replied, then grabbed her things and walked towards her gate. I'm going to miss her so much! But now I get to live on my own, so that's always a plus!
----------------------------------------------------------
After dropping Holly off at the airport, I walked to work. I recently got an internship at The Today Show, to work as kind of a "Mini Hoda and Kathy-Lee." Basically they let me interview people with them sometimes, and I make sure everything is perfect for the guests. Pretty much the coolest job ever, right?
I walked towards the studio and saw at least 300 teenage girls surrounding the building. I wondered who was on the show today. I forgot to check yesterday to see who it was. Whatever, I'll find out soon enough.
I walked through the back entrance of the building and showed my ID to the security guys. Then I walked towards the dressing room area. First I checked with the stars of the show.
"Hi Becka!" Hoda and Kathy-Lee said in unison.
"Hi ladies! How are you today?" I asked politely.
"Oh just fine! Did you see who we interview today?" Hoda questioned me.
"No I didn't, but there's a bazillion girls outside, so I'm guessing its Justin Bieber, right?" I replied with a laugh.
"Nope! Good guess though. But you're going to be interviewing them today! It's a surprise! But don't worry, we set out cards with questions on them for you, so you'll be fantastic."
"Wait you guys won't be interviewing the guest with me? Wait, you said 'them,' there's more than one guest? I'm so confused." I replied.
"No we won't be helping you with this interview. It's going to be just yours! You should be ecstatic!" Kathy-Lee smiled.
"Oh I am! Thank you for this opportunity! I just wish I knew who it was..." I said, quizzically.
"Don't worry, you'll thank us later!" Hoda said with a wink. What is going on?
-------------------------------------------------------
"Alright ladies and gentlemen! We are having our intern, Becka Hammond interview our next guest, and I'm super excited to announce that our guests our......One Direction!" Kathy-Lee exclaimed. Oh shit. This is so not real. I'm going to interview my favorite boy band ever!
"But the interview will be right after this short break." Hoda announced.
"And commercial! Great job, ladies!" The director exclaimed
----------------------------------------------------------
"No. No. I'm not going to faint." I said to myself, trying to force my body to stand upright as I walked to the stage. I'm about to interview One freakin' Direction. You've got to be kidding me right now.
"Ok. These are the boys, which you probably already know. All you guys have to do is get acquainted and then you can ask them the questions. Does that sound good?" Hoda asked.
"Sounds good." I smiled. Then looked over at One Direction. Holy shit. They're so much more beautiful in person. I think I'm going to pee my pants. Pull it together, Becka! "Hi there! I'm Becka!" I announced, and put my hand out to the nearest member.

I have so many good ideas for different plots for One Direction fan fictions, so I'm just going to write multiple ones at one time. Lol. I'm definitely a multi-tasker.
