Summary:
if jeongguk had told himself over and over every night, that what he feels for park jimin is nothing but the longing of his wolf, no real feelings, no actual attachment. if he had reminded himself every step that the only reason he put up with him was because he never went away, then what is this ache he is feeling now?
for someone who claimed that he hated every second of being around park jimin, jeongguk found himself wanting to have the omega back, as close as possible.

Work Text:
in his entire life of twenty years five months and seventeen days, jeon jeongguk had never seen an omega as stubborn as park jimin. it wasn't something he hated exactly, what he didn't like was how much he secretly admired that trait in the smaller dark haired boy. if this were any other omega or beta, jeongguk is so sure he would have found it annoying, losing interest after having to put up with their antics once or twice. patience was not the young alpha's strongest characteristic after all.
but this was not any other omega, this was park jimin, in all of his glory, tight jeans and pink lips, shirt falling off his shoulder and the healthy blush on his skin, he was everyone's deepest darkest fantasy. the omega who made sure to arrive at every party jeongguk was invited to, made sure to cling close to the first handsome alpha just to rile jeongguk up. he swayed his hips along with the music, moves so surreal everything else is put to shame. he let his hands roam on the man he was dancing with, letting him too close but never close enough, because he knew jeongguk's weaknesses and he always knew which ones to use.
but his eyes. his eyes never looked away from jeongguk's face for the whole of his ministrations, leaving him breathless and slightly dazed. his eyes never turned golden for anyone else, just jeongguk.
"morning." jimin greets, head immediately falling to the desk as jeongguk takes in his scent.
jimin reeks of some unknown alpha again and it takes all of jeongguk's strength to not lean forward and press his lips all over his soft skin. mine, his wolf reminds him, distressed and anguished. not yet, is all the alpha answers much to his own disappointment. he can't pin the reasons for his discomfort. why should he be bothered when he had always claimed of not liking the omega? why does his blood boil at the thought of unfamiliar hands touching his body?
when the professor enters the class, jimin looks up at jeongguk, eyebrows rising for the shortest minute to ask what's wrong. jeongguk falls back to his stony look, jaws clenched and face expressionless. it hurts his fragile alpha pride that jimin knows exactly what is wrong with him, knows very well what he has done this time, like every other time. but jeongguk isn't going to give in to him so easily. he is too afraid of losing himself that way, afraid that park jimin is capable of captivating him, completely without any mercy.
and jimin just shrugs and falls back to his seat. as if he hadn't showed up in leather pants last night, danced in someone else's arms all night all the while looking at Jeongguk all the while. as if he hadn't left the party with some other alpha. someone not jeongguk.
