His POV
9:32am, Saturday
I examined the footsteps right outside of the bank. This was one of the biggest heists in the entirety of America. I sipped my coffee, determined to get on the bus and find the criminal.
But, of course, I couldn't. I had to follow everything my boss said. And in this case he said I couldn't go anywhere without his permission — and if I asked him to get on the bus and drive off, I know he'd say no. I didn't have my police suit on — since I didn't have time to get ready in the morning. I was called a few minutes after I woke up to come into the station immediately.
"There's no leads yet, no?" I asked, glancing at my boss, who was talking to another officer.
"Well, brown eyes, long brown hair." He sighed.
"There's probably not going to be any more leads today," My boss added. "- You can go home." He continued.
So, I finished the last of my coffee and walked over to a bus stop. I waited patiently and I stood next to a brown haired girl. Her hair, long. Her legs, shaking. She was carrying a black bag, and she had a cap on.
I thought it was weird how her legs were shaking in the heat. She couldn't possibly be cold, right? I heard the bus arrive, and I got on after the girl. I watched as the bus slowly filled up with tons of people. The only free spot was next to the girl.
I sighed and decided to get on. As soon as I did, I didn't dare to look at her. She was writing something. In her diary. I couldn't help but glance over. I think she noticed me. I couldn't really tell what she was writing but- 'heist'.
She mentioned something about a heist. No, this couldn't be the person who robbed hundreds of thousands of dollars. My mind was spinning around the word 'heist'.
I'm going crazy. I repeated to myself in my head. Everything I saw was suspicious. Maybe she was just documenting something about the news about the heist.
But what if she's the robber?-
No. She couldn't be. I heard the buses tires shriek to a stop. I glanced out of the window and I saw that I was near my house. A few minutes away. I stood up, noticing the girl standing up behind me. I was walking behind another person, who was extremely slow. I noticed something drop behind me, and I looked behind my shoulder. I saw that the girl had dropped her diary. I bent down to pick it up and I felt her ice cold hands. We both glanced into each others eyes.
- Brown eyes, brown hair.
Was this the robber?
She thanked me and got off the bus. So did I. Surprisingly we were heading the same way, or at least I thought so. It seemed as her bag was hella heavy. There was a tiny hole which she managed to not zip up. I saw something green.
Probably just some vegetables that she had bought?
Yes. Just some vegetables.
I saw her taking a turn and sitting down on a bench. Damn it. I wanted to follow her and find out if she was the fucking robber.
