Over the week, you ended up becoming closer with Miya's friends. It turns out he and the gray-haired guy were actually twins, so you called the gray one Osamu. Miya was pretty upset that you used his brother's first name and not his, but that just made it that much easier to poke fun at him. During the time you were getting to know Miya and his friends, you found out that they were all on the school volleyball team. They asked you if you wanted to be a manager but you just looked at them with a disgusted face, you only really wanted to focus on photography and didn't want something else get in the way.
You were still salty that Miya got in the way of several shots that you tried to take, but you and the team just poked fun at him to get a bit of revenge. One of your favorite things to do with the group is helping Suna record whenever the twins fight. You both get two different angles then send each other the videos to compare. You almost always get the better perspective because you have that photographer perk, but there have been times where Suna won. The two of you saw it as a friendly competition, laughing quite a bit when Miya complains about you guys keeping and comparing.
"Come on, it's not our fault that you fight with Samu so much, how dare you think of us that way," you faked being dramatic, sticking out your bottom lip in an exaggerated pouting expression. Miya crossed his arms at that and the rest of the people at the table started laughing. You've only been at the school for about a week but you were starting to get pretty comfortable with the people there. You didn't really have any friends outside of the volleyball club, but you didn't feel like you needed to.
The bell signaling that lunch ended, everybody took care of the rest of their food and went to their next classes. The last classes of the day were ones you shared with Osamu, so you were glad that you got to have a break from his annoying twin. You were fairly close with the group even with the short amount of time that you've known them, but you wouldn't trade them for anyone else.
"My asshole brother won't stop talking about you," Osamu said to you as you were both walking to your class. You were confused as to what he meant for a second so you raised one eyebrow. "You're literally the only thing he wants to talk about," Osamu was now looking at you, he had a slight smirk on his face from how funny the situation was. Even the twins' dad was getting tired of hearing about you everyday, maybe even the dog too.
"I'm just that awesome," you returned Osamu's smirk with a bit of exaggerated confidence. You were often like that around the group, you let out snarky comments, and of course you random insults to Miya. To be fair Miya also exaggerated his reactions and was never actually offended by it, he would've complained to Osamu if he actually cared that deeply. One of the things you were really good at when it comes to social interactions was that you knew when to stop and where to draw the line.
The two of you walked into the class that you shared with each other. There was barely anybody there, two of your classmates along with the teacher. It kind of made sense because everybody was just now getting to their classes and most of them were still in the hall, so you and Osamu just sat down at your desks. Thankfully since there was pretty much no one in the room, you were able to land spots right next to each other. You and Osamu ended up talking for the entire time until everyone was in the room and the class actually started. To be fair, you didn't actually pay attention. You'd just text Osamu later for him to give you the notes so that you can write them down in your own notebook. That's mainly how things went between the both of you in the class.
As the rest of the day went by fairly quickly, you had nothing to do after school. You figured that you'd just roam around campus a bit to see if there were any good places you could take some pictures, so that's exactly what you did. Thankfully no one interrupted your process this time, Miya and the others were most likely at their volleyball practice so they were busy with other things. You got the pictures and were satisfied with the things you captured. Scrolling through the pictures you just took, you picked out which ones you were going to edit and post.
You didn't realize how much time passed until you heard a bunch of footsteps coming your way. You looked up from your camera and saw the volleyball team talking amongst themselves. They didn't seem to notice you by the fountain yet, so you just kept looking at the pictures until finally deciding which ones you were going to use.
It wasn't long before you felt an arm wrap around your shoulders and you looked to your side to find Miya, "Yes, Miya?" You were mainly focused on photography business so you didn't even realize how close your faces were, but Miya moved away from you before noticing.
"Ohhh nothing, just wondering if yer fallin' for me like I'm fallin' for ya," Miya said as he threw his arms behind his head in a relaxed position. You gazed at him with a confused expression, not quite knowing what he meant by what he said, but you knew that it was confusing and he could tell that you were confused as well. Miya belted out a loud laugh and waved his hand, "Nah don't worry about it! I was just joking. The look on your face was hilarious though!"
"You asshole!" You punched Miya's arm and laughed along with him. You were genuinely scared to get into a relationship so you were hoping that Miya was joking, and he was so you had nothing to worry about. Though, part of you did wonder if what he said was real. That he was actually falling for you, but you doubted that it was the case. You weren't someone that was really special and the only talent you had was photography, so you had nothing to put out there except photos.
As you watched Miya walk away and off of campus, you walked off as well to get to your house. You didn't want to waste any more time and you had a few more photos to edit since you took some new ones that day, so you made your way quickly back.
