love is seen as a divine essence,
like ambrosia and nectar
and while we can take
love from people,
we can give love --
we can make stories
about where love comes from
(the bottom of the heart)
or what it is
(a cold drink on a summer day)
or how it feels
(as if nails slid sensually down your back)
because sharing love
is human life
