Eleven year old Star was in her shared bedroom laying on her bed staring into her brown colored wall out of boredom when her fourteen year old brother Devon, came in the room.
"Do you wanna go outside with me and my friends?" Devon asked. Devon was always the type to always include other people. Never bullied and never was a bully.
Star let out a huge grin, until she realized something. "But all of your friends are older than me" the young girl responded. Star was a very outgoing person but if she didn't feel comfortable around her surroundings you would never guess she was there.
"Not all of them are my age, if you comin' put on some clothes and your going-outside-shoes I'll be outside" the young boy dashed out the room with young star quickly following behind.
As Star walked out her house she seen her older brother standing with a small group of two girls and three boys. She stood next to her brother.
"So you not gon' speak?" One of the boys called out , "For real actin' like ha big headed self don't see us" Another boy added.
Star stood there looking around until one of the girls spoke out. "Y'all chill out she's probably shy, and she's new. And Dj you have no room to talk jhit". "I'm just saying" The boy shrugged his shoulders.
"Y'all wanna walk to the candy lady, I can pay?" The other girl spoke out and the kids started to walk. Star was walking next to her brother when one of the girls moved to her side.
"Hi I'm Ivy" she said. Star looked over to the other kids and saw them talking and laughing. "I'm Star" she said, "how old are you, you look a little young?" Ivy asked. "I'm 11 what about you?" Star asked, "11".
"Oh so we're the same age?" Star responded. "Naw bruh, it's not like we didn't just say the same number" Ivy rolled her eyes. "Why you always so mean to everybody Ivy?" One boy asked, "I'm not mean, you guys just can't handle to truth" she responded bluntly.
"Anyways I'm big dick dj and this is-" Another boy cut him off. "Don't listen to that dumb nigga, his name is Dj, I'm Aiden, thats Corey, and the other girl is Amara, and you should know your own brother" Aiden shared.
All the other kids either said "hi" or waved. Star smiled knowing these might be her friends for life.
