Yn's POV
I was sitting in the garden reading my favourite book
I just loved it so much, I've read it like a thousand times but every time and in every scene, it gave the same shrilling and exciting feeling
"Princess Yn!"
I got started and turned around to see
" Oh it's you ray "
" My apology princess I didn't mean to startle you " he bowed slightly
He's Ray also known as "sir ray" he's a well-trained guard who leads our armies during attacks and is also my guard
" Well ray stop calling me princess at least if no one's around, we're friends right?" I told him
We grew up together even though he was older he was still my friend
"Umm, so what brings you here ray?" I asked him breaking the silence
" Oh yeah I came to inform you that my lord and my grace want to see you " he bowed again
Father and mother want to see me, don't tell me that they found a suitor for me, I'm tired of rejecting them, I already told them that I don't wanna marry
I sighed and ray looked up concerned
" Well then let's go," I told him and he forwarded his hands towards me and I honourably took it
We arrived at the large gate which led to the throne room
Ray slowly opened the door and bowed
"My lord, my grace" he bowed down
" My thanks sir ray, for bringing princess Yn here " my father spoke
I looked at them a bowed they're the king and queen after all
" Father, mother "
" Princess Yn we'll love to have a small talk with you and if sir ray excuses us " father spoke
Ray bowed and went out
I wanted him to stay but when you grow up in a strict family you're not yours anymore
" Princess Yn " father diverted my attention towards him
Third POV
Yn stood their back straight, head held high and hands in the front
Her hands got sweaty as the tension in the room increased
" The thing is that, we found a perfect suitor for you Yn " the king spoke
Yn stood there and didn't react and waited patiently for listening to the whole situation
" The fact that Amaris has been our rival kingdom for quite a while and due to that our nearest trade routes are completely blocked and it's causing problems to the villagers so we held a conference and discussed what could be done and the last option is the friendship between the two kingdom and the best way to do that is the marriage between you and prince of Amaris "
"But father- "
"Princess Yn" her mother aka the queen gave her a stern look indicating that her father is not finished yet and she was not allowed to speak before he allows her
" You may proceed princess " her father spoke
" I understand the situation father and mother but I am not ready for it yet " Yn looked down and tears filled her eyes
" That decision will be taken by me lady Yn " her mother spoke
Her mother was always the strict one and Yn was scared of her a lot
Living a princess life was not easy as it says but Yn wanted to prove that women can also rule and do other things instead of learning how to be a proper lady or proper wife
" You're dismissed and unlike other times you're not allowed to take this situation in your hands" her mother spoke
She bowed in front of them and took the leave
She was frustrated at this situation
" What happened princess?" Ray spoke as she looked down and didn't answer him
She didn't want to leave him and the kingdom but then an idea clicked in her mind
She turned around and headed to the throne room and when she reached she opened the doors
And gave them a courtesy
Her father told her to speak
" Father, mother I'm ready for it but I have a condition," she said
The king spoke
"Go ahead "
" I would appreciate it if sir ray could come with me over there, after all, he's a trusted guard and I might feel safe if he's there"
She kept her head low for now
" I will agree to that " her father continued
'yes!' she cheered mentally and took a leave
" Ray! " She called out for her pal
" Yes princess "
" Well I asked father's permission and you'll also be coming with me as my one and only personal guard," she said proudly
Ray's eyes lighted up he also couldn't leave his one and only friend
They both cheered and ray spoke
" You'll be heading to the palace tomorrow princess so you might wanna get some rest "
" Umm well yeah and you also take a little rest, okay, you don't wanna look like a panda in front of the king right "
" What a tease " ray mumbled and they both headed towards their room
She entered her room and plopped on the bed
" Finally some peace " and drifted off into her Dreamland
