Learning to Love (a Liam Payne Fanfic)

*okay, first of all take a look at the amazing cover to the right it was made by starpaine! so i dedicated the chapter to her, because its a pretty awsome cover :) so. enjoy, comment, make suggestions! first fanfic i've ever writen... haha*

"Alexis! Get off me!" I grunt. The weight of my best friend is crushing down on me where I curl beneath the soft covers of my bed.

"NOOO! Get up! Get up, Get up!!! I have a surprise for you!" she yells. I let out another moan.

"It can wait ten more minutes." I burrow deeper into the blanket.

"It has to do with One Direction," she sings quietly in my ear. I throw off the covers immediately and bolt up. Alexis falls off my bed and I hear laughter floating up from my floor.

"Tell me what it is before I go back to sleep!" I demand. She sits up with a smug grin.

"So you know how they have a concert here Friday?" she teases. My heart starts to race, I nod excitedly.

"Well. I GOT US TICKETS!!!" she shouts. My heart stops for a second in shock,

"What?!? How? I thought they were sold out!" I scream. She gives me another sly smile.

"I may know someone who knows someone who had a friend that wanted to sell tickets."

"AHhhhhh!!!" I jump out of bed and tackle her, bursting into fits of laughter as we sprawl on the floor.

"Happy Birthday Brooke!" Alexa says when we finally stop laughing.

I loved One Direction, we both did. I wasn't the kind of girl who covered her walls with posters of their beautiful faces, but I may have had a few hiding in my dresser drawers....

"Thank you so much Alexa." I give her a side hug, which results in us falling over and laughing.

"Maybe you'll get lucky enough to meet Liam." she says with a twinkle in her eye. I raise my eyebrow and laugh.

"Yeah, and we'll fall in love and get married and have seven beauuutiful children." I laugh sarcastically. My heart, though, doesn't seem to pick up on my sarcasm and starts beating faster.

Stupid heart. I think before brushing it off.

"You never know" Alexa says while getting off the floor. She looks out the window.

"Hmm....how would you feel about going to the beach?" she asks. I immediately leap to my feet,

"Be ready in ten!" I yell, sweeping a swimsuit from my bed and running into the bathroom.
