chapter one

Irene's POV:
Bobbing my head to the music I kept dancing and twirling across the café cleaning up as I went.

I skipped down to the corner of the café and took the last of the bowls and cups and set them on a tray to wash.

Still bobbing my head, I began to tap my foot and sway my hips back and forth to the beat of EXO's new comeback song, Call Me Baby.

Being careful with the bowls and cups, I lifted up the tray and turned around only to bump into a tall muscular figure.

The tray fell down to the floor cracking the bowls and spilling the water across the just mopped floor.

Embarrassed, I quickly knelt down and picked up the broken glass and cups.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there, I thought I locked the door and there was a sign that said closed and I didn't hear you because I was listening to my music-" I kept babbling

"It's okay." He chuckled

His chuckle made my body shiver.

Standing up now, I looked up to see a boy about my age look down at me.

His eyes met mine which made my heart flutter.

I began to move my eyes down to his body.

He was tall and had broad shoulders. He seemed muscular and in good shape. he wore some sweats and a hoodie along with a snapback. his hair was messy and a ashy shade of black almost like a dark brown, covering part of his eyes. moving up to his face, I noticed his jaw line was perfectly defined and his nose was a perfect shape. His lips looked so pink and plump. I wondered how soft it would feel against my own.

"Sooo.." He interrupted.

My face became hot and I instantly looked down trying to hide the fact that I was blushing.

"Again, I'm so sorry!" I apologized.

"It's okay" he began, "it was my fault for coming in here without permission and sneaking up behind you like that."

I awkwardly tucked a piece of hair behind my ear. "Well, is there anything I can help you with?"

"Yeah. I was wondering if I could still get some drinks to go."

Snapping back into reality, I gave him a nod and walked behind the bar. I set the tray of broken glass and cups to the side.

I then walked to the register where he was standing looking at the menu of drinks nailed onto the wall behind me.

His face was so cute when he looked up scrunching his eyebrows ever so slightly.

"Are you ready to order?" I asked.

"Yeah, can I have two taro milk teas with jelly, four double chocolate smoothies, and one vanilla bean frappe."

"Coming right up!" I smiled.

After making all the drinks I turned around with them all on a cardboard tray to hold and put them in a plastic bag, setting them all on the counter.

Once he saw them his eyes lit up making me giggle.

"That'll be twenty eight."

I watched as he took out a wallet and gave me a fifty dollar bill.

"Keep the change in exchange for the broken bowls."

My eyes widened.

"Thank you." I chirped happily.

"What's your name by the way?" He questioned.

"Irene." I answered looking up.

"I'm Kim Taehyung. See you next time!" He said flashing a wide smile before exiting the café.

"See you next time." I whispered.
