The problem between both the families is:

After death of Pandian and they were helped by Murugan... Lakshmi Amma is not paralyzed......
She wants Mullai to be her DIL....
Especially she wants Mullai to marry Kathir.....
Lakshmi Amma liked Dhanam so much so she decided to get married Dhanam and Moorthy....
Dhanam has a idea to make her sister as her SIL in PS house...
She created a wrong assumption about Murugan's family....

So that thing create many fight between both the families....
Many misunderstanding between both the families.....

During Mullai's Puberty...
Mullai expect that her aunt's  family would came for her but that didn't happen becoz of Dhanam......
