❝Finally I'm done~❞ Y/N stretched her arms as she got out from her bed. She had just finished filling out a form to apply as a secretary for a famous company. She's been looking for a job these past few days and now that she found one, she didn't hesitate and immediately grabbed the chance.
Looking at the wall clock, she decided to come down from her bedroom to cook some dinner.Y/N is an only child and doesn't have any siblings. Her parents are working overseas so she's the only one living in their house right now.Y/N's parents would often call her to check on her and send her money for her expenses and more. She would feel lonely living by herself but her best friend Kate would often drop by so she wouldn't be completely lonely.
Five minutes have passed and she's still standing in front of an open fridge. She had a hard time choosing what to cook. She got interrupted from her thoughts when she heard a knock coming from the front door.
'Who could it be this time' she walked towards the door and twisted the doorknob revealing her best friend Kate draped in fancy clothes.
She eyed her from head to toe.❝Woah Woah what's with your outfit today? You looked like going to a party❞ Y/N asked, gesturing her to come in.
❝Because I'm actually going to a party today❞ Kate replied.
❝I met Mingrui yesterday and he gave me... this❞ Kate showed her an envelope that contains an invitation card.
❝Oh~ that's great!❞ Y/N exclaimed in delight.❝And here's yours❞ Kate pulled out another envelope and handed it to Y/N. She took it and stare at it for a moment. She opened it carefully and pulled out a fancy card from the envelope with her name on it.
'Oh sweet I got one too' she thought. She headed upstairs while contemplating whether she should go or not. She doesn't really like being at a party or any gatherings, especially around new people.Y/N would get nervous and feel awkward around them so she avoids being in a crowded place.
Kate, we're too busy on her phone to notice Y/N walking upstairs to her room. She checked the time on her phone.❝We're going at seven--❞ Kate cut her sentence when she noticed she's the only person in the living room.
❝Aish that girl❞ She muttered under her breath and proceeded to go upstairs.
There, she found Y/N laying on her bed and scrolling through her phone.
