I wake up from the sound of ringing, it's 7am. I look at my phone, it's only Wednesday morning. Without wasting my precious minutes, I get ready for the day. By the time I finish putting on sunscreen, it's 7:40am. Not enough time to make breakfast, have to be at school by 9am and it's about an hour long drive. Oh whatever, I'll just drive with only a granola bar to fill my stomach. When I arrive to school, it's 8:35am. On the way to class, midway my yawn, I smelt coffee. It instantly woke me with the rich and powerful caffeine smell. Oh and hello to only two students in line. I go behind the last person, looking at the menu to decide what to get. I was still looking when it was suddenly my turn.

"Hello, what would you like to order?" asked the employee in a regular type of tone.

Yet, it still made me stumble and forget what I was planning to order and instead went with my usual.

"Umm.. I would like the Vanilla Iced Coffee and 2 Farmers Wrap. "

After payment, I waited on the side for my order. I was not planning to order what I usually get so why couldn't I say another item?

6 hours have gone by and I am done with school today. As I walk down the hallways to my parked car, I smelt the coffee before seeing the Tim's sign. Before I knew it, I was already in line waiting to order.

"Hello, what would you like to order today?"

I almost spoke my usual order but then I saw the new menu.

"Umm.. I would like a Vanilla Cream Cold Brew and... a Buffalo Chicken Ranch sandwich and the BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich too."

"Okay, your order will take about 10 minutes."

I waited on the side with a sense of accomplishment after the payment went through. I guess I should go through the new menu if I need something new.

I go home satisfied with my recent accomplishment. It's hard making a menu decision when it feels that everyone is waiting for you to order thinking you've decided what to have long before you lined up. Maybe it's just me, making crazy images in my mind, thinking that I'm all knowing about how everyone perceives me.

When I'm just an ordinary person in a crowd of ordinary people.
