*Phils POV*

I stumbled out of my room and almost fell down the stairs after I had got changed this morning. I nearly fell on my face as I entered the small kitchen. My mum was by the sink, washing up a pan and my Dad was reading a newspaper at the wooden kitchen table. I fell into one of the chairs and sighed.
"Ok Phil, on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst. How much did you fall over this morning." My dad joked, folding up his newspaper and placing it on the table.
"A seven or eight today, better than most days." I replied grabbing my knife and fork and started to eat my breakfast.
"That's good!" My mum said whilst turning around and placing the dried, clean pan on the table. "Your going to college today, your luck must be turning around." I laughed at my mums silliness, I'm like the unluckiest person on earth.
"As if." I joked before shoving a pile of pancakes in my mouth.
"I should be off to work." My dad said. He stood up swiftly and kissed my mum on the cheek. He then turned to me and waited for me to stand up. After I stood up he hugged me quickly. "Have fun son, make lots of memories. College is one of the best times in a persons life." He smiled before waving and leaving the room.
"I agree Phil, have fun while your there." My mum said sitting next to me. "And promise me you'll make some friends." She sighed. I nodded and hugged her.
"I will." I said. She then grabbed her car keys and ushered me out the room.
"Hurry up Phillip, you'll be late." She said excitedly. I sighed and pulled my suite case out the living room and out the front door. Once outside I loaded my suitcase into the car boot and climbed into the passenger seat.

We arrived at the college around 10:00. We were really early.
"Mum, I love you and all but how could I be early on a Saturday?" I laughed. She laughed too.
"Love you too son." She said before hugging me. She left soon after. I wandered to the main office, there was a old lady sitting there. She scowled as I approached her.
"Hello." I said awkwardly.
"Name?" She asked almost suddenly.
"Phil Lester." I soon replied. She handed me loads of sheets.
"This is your timetable and your room and other important things that you should take some time today looking over. You can go now." She spoke glumly. I walked off staring at my room number. I was in room #2009.

I opened the door to see a brown haired boy with his back turned to me. I walked in.
"Hello. You must be my roommate." I said. He turned round and his eyes widened.
"Oh my god!" He exclaimed. I was really confused. "Oh my god! Phil is that you?" He exclaimed running up to me.
"Do I know you?" I asked.
"Phil! It's me Dan!" He said.
"Dan!"
