harrys pov:

questions.

all that is going through my head is questions.

how did Alex know how to work a gun, how did she know how to beat a guy up in five seconds, why did she go outside to have a smoke when she saw everyone smoking inside. how did she hold her drink so well.

but the main question that is running through my head right now, is what happened to the Alex I used to know.

granted I love her all the same, but where the fuck did this badass verson of Alex come from?

Im currently at my house, sitting on the sofa with the tv playing quietly in the background, trying to find answers to all these questions, when my phone buzzes, breaking my train of thought.

I grab my phone off the coffee table, seeing a text from an unknown number.

     - hey, wanna grab coffee or something, we have eight years of catching up on.

I knew is was Alex, so I put her new number in my contacts then replied,

     -sure, when and where?

I was already walking down the hall to my room, going to my wardrobe to look for clothes while waiting for a reply. while grabbing a shirt that was freshly washed, my phone pinged again.

     -debbies? in ten minutes?

     -see you then.

I walked into my bathroom, stripping myself of my comfy clothes before turning the shower on and stepping under the stream. I quickly washed myself, letting the water run over my body before getting out and wrapping a towel around my waist.

stepping into my bedroom, I dropped the towel and got into the clothes I set out.

I put my phone, cigarettes and wallet into my pocket before grabbing my gun and putting in in my waistband.

I walked to the frond door, stepping out and locking the door, before turning around and getting in my car.

the drive to Debbies was very short so before I knew it, I was pulling into a space and parking my car. I got out and locked the car before making my way inside the shop.

when I walked inside the smell of warm pastries and coffee hit me. it smelt a lot nicer than the drunk people that walk around my club.

I looked around trying to spot Alex, seeing her sitting at a table in the corner. she was wearing a pair of loose jeans with black converse and a nirvana  t-shirt. she hasn't spotted me yet, so I walked to the till and ordered a black coffee.

I got my drink and payed for it before making my way over to her and tapping her shoulder three times, she looked behind her and when her eyes landed on mine she smiled.

"you gonna sit down?" she asked, pushing the chair opposite her out with her foot.

I sat down on the chair and took a sip of my coffee before placing it down on the table. "so Alex Taylor, we have a lot of catching up to do," I chuckled.

"that we do indeed," she replied, a small smile on her lips. "so Harold, enlighten me, what have you been up too while I was gone?" she questioned, one of her brows lifted while she took a sip of her drink.

"well, I bought a club, but you know that, I managed to get a lot of people to hate me and be scared of me, and a lot of people to like me," I replied.
