As I waited in the airport for my trip back to L.A, I saw Derek standing at the entrance. "What does he want now?" I said to myself as I stood up. Derek ran up to me hugged me tightly. "I don't wanna let you go. You mean everything to me; if I lost you then my life wouldn't be worth living. I love you, my little sister. Please don't leave me" Derek said as he held my hands tight. Some people started to look at us in the waiting area. "Two minutes until boarding the plane" a flight attendant said in the microphone so everyone could hear. "I-I don't what to say, Derek" I said as I blushed. "I'm...I'm going. I'm so sorry Derek. I just need a break and it's either me that you can't live without or your girlfriend that has just been mean to me before and would have the chance to take you away from me" I said as I grabbed my suitcases. "Well, if you are going then...take this with you" Derek said and handed me my plush I left at home.
"Thank you" I said as I gently grabbed my plush. I started to walk to the door to the plane. "I love you Lily Jones. I will always love you" Derek yelled as I was one step away from getting on a plane to L.A and probably never going to see Derek again. I looked inside the hallway to see a woman that probably doesn't want to see me. I had let go of my handles of my suitcases and ran back to Derek. I started to cry as I had held Derek tight. I heard some people ahhing in the background. A flight attendant rolled back my suitcases and handed me the plush that I had dropped on the ground. I held on to Derek as tight as I could.
"Don't let me go, please?" I whispered in his ear and rested my head on his warm chest; hearing the beautiful sound of his heart beating.
"Come on, let's go home"
"How did Dad take this?"
"Well...you're grounded for three days"
"Wow, three days? That doesn't seem much"
"Well, be happy with it, he could change it to three months"
As Derek and I walked to the car, I saw Dad and my stepmom waiting outside of the blue mustang and welcomed me back with open arms. "Oh sweetie, please don't leave next time. We would be a sad family without you" Dad said as he hugged me tight. Derek put my suitcases in the trunk of the car and came over and opened my car door. After everyone was in the car, we drove to an Italian restaurant. My stepmom and Dad had sat next to each other while Derek and I sat next to each other.
"I need to use the restroom. Derek can you take me to the bathroom?" I asked Derek with a grin. He nodded his head and told Dad and my stepmom that he was showing me where the restroom was. We walked over to the restroom and stood talking by the doors. "So, are you gonna use the bathroom?" Derek asked.
"I just need to talk to you"
"About what?"
"Who are you gonna choose? Me or Jennifer?"
"I'm still thinking about that Lily"
"I'm sorry; it's just that I have been so confused since I've been here. Like, Should I go back to L.A or just stay here and feel alone. Well, if you think about it...It would be the same if I went to L.A because I feel like my mom had never changed but I don't know"
"Well, just to tell you...You might be chosen" Derek said as he smiled. Derek had got close to my face then kissed my cheek. I had felt my heart race as kissed my cheek. Derek smiled at me and chuckled. "Someone is blushing" Derek said as he chuckled. "Uh...uh...Uh...I gotta pee" I said as I rushed in the ladies room. I had jumped around in the bathroom and acted like a little girl had had a...a stupid crush. But wait...He's my brother but...he's not related to me. But he probably doesn't feel the same. Ugh, this is stupid. He only sees me as his sister and looks at Jennifer as his girlfriend. And, if Dad and my stepmom found out about this...Dad would send me back with mom wherever she is with her new husband.
