"What would you say if I asked you to put me into heat?" Pansy asked, leaning over the back of the sofa and into Draco's line of sight.

His quill stopped on the parchment where he had been working on his essay, and his gaze turned towards her slowly. His eyes were thin, and she knew an angry Alpha when she saw one.

He uttered a single word in response.

"No."

Letting out a huff, she walked around the couch and plopped down beside him, taking the inkwell from where it balanced precariously on his knee, and set it on the table in front of them.

"And if I was Granger?" she asked, raising a brow.

Draco let out a huff as he turned and looked at her once more, quill going across his knee where the inkwell had just been. "What do you want, Pansy?"

She said nothing, just stared at her nails, waiting. Draco always broke after a few minutes of silence, and she needed him to be well and truly annoyed before she proceeded.

"Ugh, you smell like you're in heat already," he complained.

She rolled her eyes before she began her request.

"Tell me how to seduce an Alpha," she said confidently, ready to hear his answer..

Really, she needed to hear it. She had been trying for weeks, everything from flirting, flitting about, shortening her skirts, even talking about being so hot, almost in a heat, while sitting beside him in class.

But... nothing. Nothing so far had worked.

She had noticed the smaller details begin to click, had even seen his hands start to shake, and his muscles... he was on the verge of a rut. Not as deep in as Draco was, but he needed an Omega to soothe him, to relax him, to help him regain control of himself.

She wanted to be that Omega. Had to be that Omega, really.

She wanted a strong and powerful Alpha. She wanted the one who's scent made her go insane. The one that made her heart race. The one that she... that she could see her life with.

"Why?" Draco asked, staring at her.

She tried to give a shrug, not wanting to appear too stressed about it, but how long had she been flitting around the truth, just teasing the boys about what she was up to...

"Who are you trying to seduce?" he finally asked, for the very first time.

She was surprised - had it not been obvious, or... or did he simply want to hear her say it out loud, to make her say it out loud.

"Neville Longbottom," she said, rising from the sofa to walk in front of him. "He's a Pureblood, an Alpha, and not a Slytherin."

She waited for him to judge her, to say something in response, waited for him to question her judgement, her choices, but instead...

"Is this a one off thing, or should I expect an invitation to your wedding," Draco asked carefully.

She smirked, pleased with herself, knowing that she now has the upper hand.

"Just as soon as I receive an invitation to yours and Granger's."

The noise Draco made was delicious, and she waited for him to regain his breath before she pushed forward.

"How do I do it?" she finally asked. "Seduce him. I've tried everything. Flirting, rolling my skirts, even trying to scent him."

That caught Draco's attention, and he coughed, awkwardly, looking up at her. He looked unsure of something, and she wanted to ask what... but she wasn't sure she was prepared to hear the answer.
