Reader's POV

I ran through the forest, my (H/C) hair flying out behind me as I jumped over logs and rocks at top speed. I wide smile was stretched across my face and my (E/C) eyes shone with a light and adventurous nature unobtainable by anyone in the small, mysterious town I live in.

I soon came upon a clearing, it's bright green grass and small flowers gave a happy light off to the dark forest surrounding it. I smiled, falling back down onto the soft grass, letting out a well needed sigh.

"Finally, peace at last." I said as I closed my eyes, my smile softening to a small, closed mouth smile.

That's when my phone went off.

Dipper..............Pines.

Dipper and Mable where my two closest friends since the summer started, but sometimes, I couldn't get them to leave me alone.

"What is it Dipper?" I said, answering his call.

"YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF THE FOREST NOW!!!!" Dipper yelled, causing me to sit up.

"W-why?"

"THERES SOMETHING IN THERE! I SAW IT FOLLOWING YOU! RUN!!! GO!!!" Dipper screamed as my phone cut off to static.

I was terrified. 'What followed me?'

I stood up slowly, keeping an eye on the surrounding forest. I spotted the place I came through and locked my wide eyes on it.

A shadow stood there, it's white eyes on me. I took a step back, trying to slow down my racing heart beat.

That's when I felt something crunch underneath my shoe. I bent down, eyes still on the creature, and picked up a small necklace. The golden brick triangle shimmered in the afternoon light with an intensity.

I tilted the necklace, and it's beam of light struck the creature, causing it to screech and disappear.

"Thank you." I mumbled to the necklace. I don't know why, I just felt like it might have a mind of it's own.

I sprinted out of the forest, clutching the necklace in one hand.

As I saw the Mystery Shack in the distance, I crashed into someone, falling on top of them.

"D-Dipper?" I said, staring at my good friend who I had landed on top of.

"OH MY GOD (Y/N) YOU'RE OK!!!" Dipper yelled, wrapping his arms around me, and pulling me into a tight hug.

As the hug progressed, I felt the necklace become really warm, to the point of searing my hand.

I yelped and dropped the necklace, holding my hand. Dipper let me go and as soon as he saw the necklace and he pushed my behind him.

"Owowowowowowow." I said, blowing cool air on my red hand, man that hurt like hell.

"(Y/N), where did you find that necklace." Dipper turned to me, a serious expression on his face.

"In a clearing I was in when you called. Some shadow creature was trying to get me and the gleam from that necklace destroyed it." II replied, tears starting to form in my eyes from the pain in my hand.

"Come on." Dipper said, standing and holding a hand out to me. I used my good hand and grasped his, standing to my feet.

"What about the necklace?" I asked as Dipper pulled me away.

"Forget it."

But how could I?
