It had been the longest flight of her life. Luca had been talking to her for most of it, but she hadn't really been listening. Chris couldn't shake this worrying feeling she had. She understood why Street wanted her to go to TLI, but she kept feeling something was going to go wrong. Most of the flight she kept repeating "I should have stayed" to herself. It had taken her almost three years to admit to Street she loved him, and now she felt she was close to losing him. She was angry; angry at herself for going, angry at street for convincing her to go, but she was angriest with Karen. Chris had hoped her warning would have been enough. That somehow Karen might for once gain a conscience, and choose to keep her son out of her problems. Instead Karen once again chose to be selfish, and like always street was the one paying the price.

"Chris, Chris, Hey Chris!"
Luca suddenly made her lose her train of thought. "What's up?" Chris responded slightly annoyed. " Umm its our turn to get off the plane now" Luca says pointing out all the empty seats around them. "Right, sorry" Chris says as she scoots out and grabs her bag from the overhead. On their walk to the baggage claim she kept noticing Luca staring over at her. She could tell he knew something was off with her. "Everything okay Chris?" Luca asks once they reached the baggage claim. Chris nods her yes, but on the inside she is screaming no. Luca continues to stare at her for a moment and then says " I know you've been through a lot this year, but it's good that you're here. We hardly ever get a break with Swat, so it nice to have the vacation albeit a work related one." Chris once again nods her head, and waits for her suitcase to roll around in the carousel. Luca then places his hand on her shoulder and says "If you're worried about Street, he'll be fine trust me. I know you guys are close friends, but I live with the guy. I spoke to him the morning before we left. He is confident that everything is going to go just fine. Besides if I can make it back with my health problems so can he."
Chris wanted to believe Luca was right, but she knew he was already wrong about one thing. That thing being, that they are close friends. Chris had no idea what street and her were now, but they were definitely more then close friends. He meant so much more to her then that. "I shouldn't have left" Chris says as she grabs her suitcase off the carousel and heads toward the exit with Luca.
