Violette was scared.
She didn't know how she ended up running away from three strangers, but she knew she had to do something.
She had been running for a couple minutes, turning left and right at every dead end. She was getting tired and she didn't know how much longer she could run until they caught her.
Violette turned left and was met with the high, brick wall of an abandoned building.
"Look, we just want to know what you saw back there. We can come to an agreement."
Violette gasped and turned around, almost bumping her head with the chest of a man. He looked to be about middle aged with tattoos all over his body, his burly build dominating her small figure.
Two men stood behind him with their hands in their pockets. By the look on their faces, Violette had a bad feeling about any agreement they had in mind.
"I didn't see anything, I promise! I'm not familiar with the area and I lost my way." she exclaimed quietly, hoping they wouldn't notice the slight shake in her voice. She was obviously lying.
As soon as Violette finished her sentence, the lead man turned around and exchanged words with his two sketchy friends.
Why did she have to venture into an alleyway? Violette was on her way back home from shopping when she heard what sounded like fighting. She knew she shouldn't have gone looking for trouble, but she couldn't help her curiosity. She was almost always alone and barely had friends.
When she approached the end of the alleyway, she saw the same three men fighting an incredibly tall man; he had to have been over 6'5. From where she was hiding, it looked like the tall man was winning.
The shortest of the three men tried to punch the tall man but he caught his hand before it could make an impact and the loud sound of bones cracking filled the alleyway and made Violette flinch. He had amazing reflexes and was obviously skilled by the way he moved.
On queue, Violette's phone began to ring, the chorus to Bad Girls by M.I.A filling the quiet alleyway. She tried to silence her phone in a hurry, wondering why her dad would decide to call her now of all times when a rough voice spoke.
"Who the hell are you?"
Violette looked up and noticed that the man had run off. It appeared that the person who spoke was the leader amongst the three and they were all slowly getting close to her.
Unsure of what to do, Violette ran off. And now she was caught in a deadend with three men who were out to kill her.
Lost in her thoughts, Violette didn't notice the lead man inching closer to her until she felt his hands cover her mouth and push her back flush against his chest.
The panic in Violette's chest rose to an extreme and she began thrashing in his hold.
She tried screaming for help but the man's hand slapped her mouth shut, stunning her. No one would come to her rescue.
The tears streaming down her face and her uncontrollable sobbing made her head dizzy. The man gripped her face extra hard and sniffed the back of her hair. "You're awfully pretty, aren't you? I think we should take this one in and show her a real nice time, eh?"
Their grunts of approval made her shiver.
Violette's heart dropped to the pit of her stomach. She had no way of escaping, she couldn't fight off three men all by herself. She prayed that someone would help her, just enough to distract them.
